 1. What happened? What type of crisis is this?

-Way back in 2010 a unexpected news appear on tv live that the bus has been

hijacked by Rolando Mendoza, A man who had formerly worked as a police

officer, Kidnapped a group of visitors for hongkong and held them prisoner at the

Quirino Grandstand in Manila, Mendoza claimed the he had been unfairly

dismissed from his job and demanded a fair hearing to defend himself that’s why

he hijacked the bus.

2. What could have been done better?

-In this incident there’s a lot people died and suffer from injury because of the

unprepared planning to resolve this case and the safety of the hostage must be ensured

before taking action and give the all demands of the hostage taker to ensure the safety of

the hostages

3. What could be done to prevent these incidents?

-We cannot avoid this kind of incident because this is beyond our control and this

can be happen anytime, The best thing we do is the MPD must implement strict rules to

ensure the safety of each individuals, They must study this kind of case seriously so that

they will know how to prevent harm to the hostages/victims.
