DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY

“ART CARAVAN 2022” is an initiative project in partnership with the community that has a
goal of developing the skills and talent of incoming grade 7 SPA learners of Bacnotan National High
School in dance, music, theater arts, visual arts, creative writing, and media arts.
Developing the skills and talents is a gargantuan task that requires support, sponsorship and
partnership with the local officials, stakeholders, parents, school administrators and art enthusiasts.
There are three (3) phases of this project. The first phase is the selection process where the
students will undergo interview and skill test. The second is the grinding of skills through a year-round
training and workshop. The third phase is the grand recital to showcase and exhibit their hard-earned
outputs in their chosen art form.
This project is part of a movement to cultivate the love and passion for the arts. As a result, the
project is a way for the learners to improve their own skills, foster self-discipline and develop their
confidence in performing in front of people. Its goal is to encourage them to continue grinding and
perfecting their skills as a means of achieving their personal goals in life.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY

With the desire to uplift and develop the skills and talents of incoming grade 7 learners of Special
Program in the Arts, this project aims to:
a. Identify and screen leaners with potentials in dance, music, theater arts, visual arts,
creative writing, and media arts
b. Develop the skills and talents to promote excellence in different art forms
c. Motivate students to deepen their love and passion in arts as a way of self-expression
