1. How will you show your nationalism & patriotism in the contemporary society?
As a student and Filipino citizen who has personal beliefs, emotion and ability to show the
nationalism or patriotism, I have a lot of ways on how I can show it to the society. Like supporting
the economy, civic engagement, environmental stewardship, respecting national symbols and
many more. But for me the most important thing on how to show patriotism and nationalism is
to educate ourselves and other people to continuously learning about national history for us to
see the importance of it. For this reason, we can learn how to change our values and
achievements as Filipinos. It will help us to easily share the knowledge with others to foster a
sense of pride and unity. Lastly, the key is to find ways to contribute positively to our nation and
its people while respecting the rights and well being of other.
Media are ways of communication in current generation that make it simpler to transmit
political material to any platform that can convey to the public. As a result, they've
advanced at a speed in recent decades, and they're constantly changing in creative, even
unexpected ways. The impact of the media on democratic government and political
activities is extensive. They've drastically altered the way government works and elected
officials interact. They are scared that people can easily have an access in what they are
doing nowadays.
3. Compare and contrast reform thru non-violent & reform thru revolution.
A lot of reforms are made after non-violent protest and agitation has been met by repression
made upon the heads of reformers. Revolutions are violent when they are captures of power by
minority leaderships. Some demands for social reforms may be used by opportunistic leader
types to get support for their eventual capture of power, but the fact of this being merely, a
change of regimes, is not a social revolution.
Also, Reform is the process of improving anything that already exists, such as an idea, culture,
way of life, or set of societal standards, by getting rid of the unfavorable elements and introducing
fresh ones that will remain relevant throughout time. Reform is a slower process than revolution
because there is no violence involved in it. On the other hand, A revolution is a complete change
in the order of something that previously existed. It could be any manner of performing. It may
or may not include violence.
