I …am a conscientious and trustworthy person, who is currently studying towards obtaining my
G.C.S.E's, With the goal of continuing into higher education to partake in three A level courses of my
choice.
I also finished my food tech Gcse (I have been doing this for the past 3 years) subject which involves
which involves baking/cooking complex dishes so I will have the skills needed to handle food if needed
I am 16 years old and currently looking for a place to develop my skills.
I have obtained my gcse and these are the grades I got.
Math-5
English-5
Science-6
History-4
Re-5
Foodtech-6

Ihave many skills that I have developed during my studies in GCSE such as all the skills needed while
preparing a dish and cleaning an area I also am I able to work extremely well under pressure and don’t
get stressed easy. From taking foodtech as a gcse I learnt how to prepare dishes and make them look
as possible. I was also taught how to cut it
a knife and how to quickly cut things up. I was also taught how to keep a working space clean and neat
as to make it easier to work around

I am a hard working skilled person who is ready to do whatever is needed to to get the job done
I am very social and interact well with people And I like putting a smile on people’s faces
I also am currently doing my Food Tech GCSE exams. So I am accustomed to working under pressure
and a time limit. I also know how to keep a work place clean as I had to clean up after myself and other
for the past 2 years. I have also been dealing with a different variety of food and dishes for the past 2
years and have become very decent at it
I know how to work well in teams even if I dislike a person as during my time as working as a farm
worker I would have to work with complete strangers some days or people who would not do the work
right but because I do not know or like them does not mean I shouldn’t respect them and work to my
best

Work Experience

Babysitting
East London
2021 to 2023
When I was around 13-14 I started babysitting for family or family friends who needed a day to themselves
so that I could gain more experience in work and I still do this from time to time. I also babysit my brothers
and sisters from time to time as-well when my parents are out and when my older brother is at work. I
learnt to communicate well from this as I was always travelling to others houses and meeting new people
if they were at the houses I babysat at. I also learnt how to handle bad situation such as arguments or
fights as kids always tend to fight and it’s easier to just diffuse the situation then get angry and make
the situation worse. I would usually be baby sitting these kids for 4-8 hours and rarely ever encountered
any problems as I always came prepared beforehand as not to cause a problem. Adding on to this this
meant I sometimes was put into very rushed loud environments and at the start it was obviously a lot
but after a couple times of baby sitting you get used to it and I think this would be a skills well used in
a barista waiter runner or retail job

Farm Worker
Stepping Stones Farm - East London
January 2019 to December 2022
I previously volunteered, two days a week, on my free weekends, at Stepping
Stones Farm, situated in the East End of London. During my time there I helped to
feed the animals, clean out their habitats, restock their feed and water supply
and keep them company. I also answered any questions from visitors and assisted
them with any other queries.
When working here we would each assign each other roles and things to do so that the work was done
in a fast pace and no one was messing around or missing out on work. We would also all switch who we
would work with to make sure work wasn’t disrupted because people could work together.
I also gained leadership and work skills from working here as each day someone was given the chance
to get the choice to decide who worked were and with who to see how well they knew everyone and
to test leadership skills
Some of the task I would have done at the farm is helping people around, this would only happen once
in a while but sometimes people would want to go straight to see a certain animal so would ask us which
area these animals were.
Another duty would be to work and bond with different coworkers each day so that their would be no
internal groups and so that everyone knew each other and how to work with each others and I even
gained a lot of social skills from this.
A final one of the duty’s I had was cleaning the animals so this means cleaning them and their dirt and we
would change each animal we do each day so a person gets used to handling different types of situations
and how to clean dirt(poo and stuff)without being disgusted

Library Assistant
East London
2020 to 2022
In my school we have a massive library that used to ask people to work at to help out. I was once of those
people who worked at the library for about 2 years. I was tasked with a variety of jobs which included
working on the computer to scan in books or put the back or to re new them so we knew what was in
stock. I was also tasked sometimes with making sure it was a quiet space by kicking students out or
helping someone if they couldn’t find something. Also while working their we would help any student that
came to us with a personal problem such as they didn’t like the way people were treating them in the
library or people were making them uncomfortable and we would solve the problem without worsening
it any further which mostly consisted of asking the student who was doing it and telling them to stop
and if they didn’t stop they would be banned or kicked out for 1-5 days depending on the seriousness
of the situation
Another one of the duty’s that I had when working in the library is helping some of the younger kids with
the computer as we had very old ones so they would malfunction quite a lot so I know simple technician
skills.
Furthermore like I said in the farm part of the work experience after lunch all the workers would sit down
for a bit and just talk so that everyone was always comfortable with eachother

Awards

Best historian
July 2022
It was an award I won when my history class when on a trip. This award was given to me because I was
the most hard working and worked well in my group . This award meant I studied more of the place we
went which was kenilworth castle and brought my group together more using the skills I had

Visit to Oxford and Cambridge

When I was in about year 7 I won award with a couple other people which allowed me to go and visit
both Oxford and Cambridge university on separate days. They showed us around and we even got
to meet the current headteachers teachers and even some students. And from this we learnt the
dedication we would have to put in if we ever wanted to come back. And from then on since that day
I’ve been dedicated to doing my best in everything so that someday I could go back to one of those
universities.

Best cook
In my last year of secondary right at the end after our gcse , we were all in an assembly saying
goodbye and awards were being handed out and I got on. This was the award of being the best cook.
I took foodtech as a gcse and for the practical part we had to make 3 dishes from scratch and the
teachers liked my food so much they decided I deserved that title and from this you can infer that I do
have cooking skills and understand that basics of hygiene when cooking and how to make dishes
