RATIONALE:

This activity helps the learners boost up their confidence on showing and sharing their talents
to the public. It provides an opportunity to showcase their acquired knowledge and
imagination, skills, and abilities in an artistic way. Sharing their ideas and imagination
through arts and crafts will surely help them develop their personal skills, this might also
inspire other students to be as artistic as them. This endeavor may serve as a very meaningful
experience for their high school lives. By incorporating and applying their knowledge,
fostering their art skills, promoting critical thinking, and encouraging a cooperation with the
program against drugs, this activity will empower the learners to become active participants
of school contests, enhance their personal skills, and develop their knowledge about the
Barkada Kontra Droga Organization.

OBJECTIVES:

The activity shall focus on achieving the following objectives:

1. Foster their skills on making or doing things that are related to arts and crafts,
organization of ideas, and enhancing creativity;
2. Showcase and exhibit the learner’s skills, talent, masterpieces, and outputs;
3. To promote creativity to the students;
4. To be able to have socialization and unity among the learners through making arts;
and
5. Using the gathered money from the voting, we will adapt a space within the school
premises and develop a project under the BKD Organization.

METHODOLOGY:

The school shall make use of a face-to-face mode for this slogan making contest that will
start in the morning, 8:00am, in which the participants of the contest will gather in an area
and will be given a specific amount of time to make and finish their slogan. Barkada Kontra
Droga Organization will lead this activity in guidance of the BKD Adviser, Ma’am Jennifer
Pagatpatan.

Each grade level will choose 1 (one) contestant to represent their grade level in the said
contest. The participants will be gathered in an area and will be guided by the BKD Officers
in regards of the contest mechanics. Each contestant is also obliged to bring their own art
materials. They will be given an hour to finish their artworks. Afterwards, the participants
will display their masterpieces upstage. In order to identify our winners, the voting will base
on the students’ votes, wherein 1 peso is equal to 1 vote. When the given voting time comes
to an end, we, the Barkada Kontra Droga Organization will count the votes, and will declare
the winners of the contest on Monday during the flag ceremony.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY:

“Ekis sa Droga, Tsek sa Pagguhit at Paglikha” a slogan making contest shall be

conducted in Manongol National High School. In which, the modality of the activity
shall be face-to-face. Chosen learners will embark on this activity in order to enhance
their skills and share knowledge about this program against drugs to their fellow
students.

We, the Barkada Kontra Droga Officers (BKD) together with our BKD Adviser
shall lead the conduct of the activity and monitor the compliance of the participants.
Quality assurance, technical assistance, and monitoring shall also be implemented.
