Welcome to Mayte’s show, where talented people talk about their incredible abilities.

Today we
are here with a super famous band called “The radiant gems”. Be ready to discover their passions,
their dreams and the challenges they have faced, in this interview.

Mayte: Be welcome to this magical place girls, you know we are here to learn more things about
you, so in this episode we will ask you almost everything about your live and career, so first of all
how are you?
Mariangel: Thank you for inviting us! We are so glad to be here, also, we are doing great and we
hope you and our fans who are here too!

Mayte: that super amazing girls! Before starting with the questions could you guys introduce
yourself for the camera? And please be more specific, for example, how would you describe
yourselves or what are your likes and dislikes?

Mariangel: of course; Hi guys we are the radiant gems, a Colombian indie rock band conform by 3
people. My name is Mariangel, I am the vocalist, I’m 16 y/o and I consider myself as kind and
friendly so that’s why I enjoy hanging out with my friends .

Sara H: hello everybody! Thanks to our fans for coming tonight, my name is Sara H, I’m the
youngest of the group and I play the drums, I think being a musician has tough me to be patient
and calm, maybe that’s the reason why I avoid going into stressful situations.

Sara G: I am glad to see everybody here, I’m Sara, I’m 15 y/o and I am the guitarist of the group. If I
had to describe myself, I’d said that I always insists on telling true, so I consider myself as honest
and sincere

Mayte: that’s really interesting. Leaving that aside, I always had the question about how your
relationships with your relative are. You know what I mean, you are young artists who travel
around the world; could you explain us how do you communicate with them?

Sara G: My family is a nuclear family so I lived with my parents and my siblings; Now, I really miss
them because they are at other country. One of the disadvantages of being far away from them is
that I often feel alone even though I’m with my friends. The first time I travel by myself to another
countrie, I think they must have missed me more than any other days because they use to call me
every 3 hours, but since time has changed now, we just chat and make call when is necessary

Sara H: uhm, something similar happened to me, but I actually have an extended family and it was
even worse! The trouble with having a big and friendly family is that your phone won’t stop
ringing. I missed my home but they didn’t have to call me so many times, they make my phone
broke and we couldn’t communicate for a while!

Mayte: that’s so sad!!! What about you Mariangel?

Mariangel: My situation is really different; I have a two-income family, so my parents are always
busy with their jobs, but even thought they don’t have too much free time, every time that I am
not at home they try to call me whenever the can!
Mayte: It seems like your families are super sweet! But now lets talk about the group again, What
kind of experiences or anecdotes have you lived as a band or group and which ones are the most
memorable or funny?

Sara H: One time we were staying on an American hotel because we had a concert. I decided to
make popcorns on the microwave of the kitchen, but I came back to my room and I forgot about
it! Suddenly the fire alarms went of because the popcorns were burning and smoke was coming
out

Mariangel I tried to solve the problem but I just aggravated the situation. I was supposed to put
on the gloves to prevent burns but I just opened the microwave door with anything on and took
the hot package of popcorn with my hands.

Sara G: Mariangel shouldn’t have done that, she burnt her hands and we have to take her to the
hospital, I remember that when the concert started, she couldn’t even grab the microphone.

Mayte: OHH, how bad!! You should be more careful next time Mariangel!
