A Big Heavy Door:

Sarah felt very excited as she pushed open the


heavy big door.The dynamic and vibrant studio
lights in the main hall caused her a temporary
visual impairment that lasted a second . She
was on the fence whether to laugh or cry infront
of her audience. She was on the verge of
becoming the first Canadian citizen to
participate in an international talent expresso
competition organized by the United
States.However, She was bamboozled by the
bright studio lights of the audition hall.Despite
reading the direction signs, She was in the
wrong place! . You must have seen the
embarrassment on her face. It was terrible!

Task 2:
Write a response email in 100
words to the above email from
Jack using all the notes.

Hey Jo,

I am afraid I can’t accompany you for the


special occasion next Sunday due to my hectic
schedule. I’ll cut to the chase. Firstly, I had
made my prior commitment to my mom to
accompany her to the supermarket on Sunday
morning. Furthermore , my German teacher,
Mr. Gates has been reprimanding me for the
past two weeks. Despite his earnest efforts to
enhance my inadequate German skills, I have
been sitting on my hands. In addition to that, my
term exams are starting next week. I have to
buckle up and prepare a lot for the Chemistry
project! Sorry, Jo. It’s not one of my lucky days.
