I hope you had off of work

yesterday and got some more time to kick
back. I was painting my house , but
was home nonetheless. This week will be
a short week, however we still have
rigorous content to cover.
Ive noticed a decline in motivation
as a class. Students seem to just be trying
to get through the day, rather than
thoroughly learning to retain the content.
I keep telling them to get serious,
however playfulness is still getting in the
way of their education. I will be making
phone calls home as needed in order to
make sure this problem ceases.
THIS FRIDAY we will be taking trip to
the Opera this is not a full day field trip.
Mark Your Calendars! January 29th is
Literacy Night. Come and get literacy
activities and information to help your
child in reading.
Im Having ONGOING TROUBLE with
students forgetting their homework
(about 50% are returning it). This
significantly affects their grade in the
grade book. Ive expressed to them that
in Middle school they will not be hounding
them for missing work, therefore I am no
longer accepting it (its that big of an
issue). Please make sure your child is
bringing all assignments back.
I did see improvement on last
weeks spelling test. Thanks for keeping
up with your childs schoolwork. As you
know, its a team effort
