NMAT Syllabus
NMAT by GMAC, popularly known as NMAT is a national-level MBA entrance
exam conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC)
in a computer-based mode over a window of around 90 days across India
and abroad. The duration of NMAT is two hours and carries a total 108
questions from three sections, namely Language Skills, Logical Reasoning
and Quantitative Ability, each carrying 36 questions. In this document,

Now that you know about the section-wise syllabus for NMAT, you should start
preparing for the NMAT exam at least six months prior to the exam schedule. To start
with, one must take a diagnostic NMAT mock test to identify the strengths and
weaknesses. Start with the weak areas first since you have more time in hand, which
will help you in learning the fundamentals and building the concepts. You should also
go through previous years’ NMAT analysis and question papers to get a core idea of
the question types and exam structures and what to expect on the exam day so that
you can prepare accordingly.

Prepare a strategic preparation strategy that should give equal importance to studying
and revising all sections, since NMAT gives equal weightage to each section. Refer to
the top books for NMAT to have a systematic sectional preparation and practice. Once
the sectional preparation is complete, test your preparation level by taking regular full-
length mock tests and solving previous years’ question papers and analyse those
regularly. Based on the analysis, rectify your errors and improve the preparation.
