TEST METHOD:

1. Ensure the test rig & sample surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust or grease then apply
adhesive glue (Dunlop) to allow appropriate drying before placing it on the test rig.

2. Place the test sample onto the test rig, then cover the steel top plate and secure it by bolts
and nuts to be 0mm gap

3. Submerge the whole test rig into a water tank for one (1) day.

4. Conduct test commencing from gap setting approximately zero mm & zero water pressure
then apply step incremental pressure of 1 bar up to 5 bar.

5. Set the test pressure to 1 bar. Initial holding time of 5 minutes, observe for one hour then
subsequently check periodically until that the test sample can seal the leakage. Record the
number of days that sample required to stop the leakage

6. Repeat the procedures with immediate step increase of test pressure to 2 bar until maximum
pressure of 5 bar.
