REFLECTION

“What do you think the activity is all about?”

The Johari Window activity highlights the idea that our authentic self-perception can be viewed from multiple perspectives,
and each person's perception may differ. By engaging in this activity, individuals can gain insights into how others perceive
them and discover new aspects of their own identity. It emphasizes the significance of understanding how we are perceived
by our environment, as it influences our personal perspective on life.

“Which among the Quadrants/ Window is easy to fill and Why? Hard to fill in and Why?”

I found filling in quadrant/window 1 to be the simplest because it represents my true self and how I present myself to others
in terms of body language, expression, and communication. It reflects my authentic identity and how I navigate and interact
with my surroundings. Consequently, people perceive these behaviors as a genuine representation of who I am and my
overall approach to life. During my reflection, I realized that the process of filling in the gaps for quadrant/window 2 is of
utmost crucial to me. It is because I have come to acknowledge that there are instances where I unknowingly project a
different or unfamiliar energy towards people or my surroundings. This realization has left me feeling shocked and
incredulous. Consequently, I have started to question whether this subconscious behavior hinders the emergence of a newer
and more authentic version of myself.

REFLECTION

In relation to question no.2, in terms of the hardest quadrant you choose to fill, is there any experience you had
encountered more or most of the time that could relate to this quadrant that’s why it was hard for you? You may
tell a bit of that experience.

One day, I decided to ask about my friends' initial perceptions of me. To my surprise, they described me as being "snobbish,"
"aloof," and "not approachable." This revelation deeply affected me, as I had never anticipated projecting such negative
energy toward people. I even questioned whether I had truly displayed those traits or if they were merely teasing me.
Initially, I found it difficult to accept their feedback, but I soon realized the profound impact that first impressions can have.
Fortunately, I was able to dispel these misconceptions and prove them wrong.

Looking at these windows, How do you manage to have the self be known? Do you think to be able to know the self

I believe that it is important to minimize our blind spots and increase our openness or the our arena. To develop self-
confidence and self-belief, it is crucial for us to be transparent and authentic with everyone in our surroundings. This way,
we can gain a clearer understanding of ourselves and reduce doubts about our abilities. By striving to perceive ourselves
through the lens of how others perceive us, we can also help others develop a more accurate understanding of our true
selves.
