This certificate, based on EN 124:2015, Gully Tops and Manhole Tops for Vehicular and Pedestrian
Areas
– Part 1: Definitions, classification, general principles of design, performance requirements and
test methods;
– Part 2: Gully tops and manhole covers in cast iron;
– Part 3: Gully tops and manhole covers in steel or aluminium alloys;
– Part 4: Gully tops and manhole covers in reinforced concrete
is issued by Kiwa GmbH.

Declaration by Kiwa:
Kiwa GmbH hereby declares that the gully elements in cast iron and / or concrete / cast iron, steel,
aluminium alloys and reinforced concrete produced by the manufacturer meet the technical
requirements specified in this product certificate. At the same time, all the requirements of EN124:1994
are fully complied with. This is indicated by the marking with the Kiwa brand name as illustrated in this
product certificate.
As at the time that the certificate was issued, EN124-2, EN124-3 and EN124-4 were not
considered to be harmonised European standards, in each case compliance with EN 124-2,
EN124-3 and EN124-4 Sections 1 to 9 is declared. The Annexes ZA of EN 124-2, EN124-3 and
EN124-4 are explicitly not part of this certificate. This certificate will become invalid on
publication of the Standards EN 124-2, EN124-3 and EN124-4 in the European Official Journal.

Product Specification

Technical specification of the product

Gully tops and manhole covers for vehicular and pedestrian areas in:
- Cast iron and, where applicable, in combination with concrete
- Steel or aluminium alloys and, where applicable, in combination with concrete
- Reinforced concrete

The products covered by this certificate are described in the manufacturer’s specification and must
be requested from the manufacturer by the user of this certificate in the event of doubt.

Marking
In each case, the gully tops shall be marked in accordance with EN 124-2, EN124-3 and EN124-4,
Section 9. In addition, the following mark, as a sign of the accredited certification body, shall be used
as evidence of the continuous monitoring of the company’s own production control:

areas. In doing so, observe the following instructions for use:
- Manufacturer’s processing guidelines

2. On delivery, check:
That the goods delivered are as agreed
That the mark and the type of marking are correct
That the products have no visible defects as a result of transport and the like
