Lighting Hue Saturation
Saturation is the intensity of a hue from gray tone (no saturation) to pure, vivid color
(high saturation). Brightness is the relative lightness or darkness of a particular color,
from black (no brightness) to white (full brightness).
Certain color palettes draw the viewer in and create a sense of comfort, while others
isolate the viewer and make them feel disoriented. Just as some create a nostalgic
atmosphere while others evoke tension and grit.
Soft lighting is more natural-looking and makes your subject appear warm, welcoming,
and friendly.
Hard light is essential for more creative lighting scenarios like using shadows, like in film
noir with shadows of window blinds.
Natural lighting if not planned well, natural lighting can result in unwanted and
expensive heat cooling costs.
Bounce is fill in shadows, add highlights, change the color temperature, or create
contrast in your shots
