1. Giving Compliment
- Pengertian : ungkapan yang digunakan untuk memuji orang lain.
- Example : Good job/well done, I just love your...., Excellent, It looks nice on you

Pattern Complimenting use “WHAT”

Singular What + a/an + adjective + singular What a funny clown!
Noun noun
Plural What + adjective +plural noun What funny clowns!
Noun (ditambah s/es)

Pattern Complimenting use “ HOW”

Singular How + adjective + the + singular noun How strong the man is!
Noun +to be
Plural How + adjective + the +plural noun How strong the men are!
Noun (ditambah s/es) + to be
- To be past : was (I, he, she, it), were (you, they we)
- To be present : am (I), is (he, she, it), are (we, they)

2. Responding Compliment
- Pengertian : respon yang digunakan untuk membalas pujian orang lain

1. Asking Opinion
- Pengertian : the way a person to ask opinion to other (meminta pendapat)
- Formal Situation (digunakan pada keadaan resmi atau memberi pendapat secara
sopan)
Would you give me your opinion on my Bisakah anda memberikan pendapat
homework? tentang tugasku?
What are you view on the school Apa pandangan anda tentang peraturan
regulations? sekolah baru?
What is your opinion aout this school? Apa pendapat anda tentang sekolah
ini?
How you got any comments on my Apakah anda punya komentar tentang

#STATING ABILITY AND INABILITY#
1. Ability
- Pengertian : kemampuan/ kesanggupan melakukan sesuatu
- Modals of Verb : “ can, could , be able”
2. Inability
- Pengertian : ketidakmampuan / ketidaksanggupan untuk melakukan sesuatu
- Modals of Verb : “cannot (can’t), could not (couldn’t), be not able to”
3. Asking Ability
- Pengertian : bertanya tentang kemampuan melakukan sesuatu

1. Expressing Willingness
- Pengertian : kemauan atau ketersediaan melakukan sesuatu
- Modals of Verb : “ will, would”
2. Expressing Unwillingness
- Pengertian : ketidakmauan atau ketidaktersediaan melakukan sesuatu
- Modals of Verb : “ will not (won’t), would not (wouldn’t)”
3. Asking Willingness
- Pengertian : bertanya tentang kemauan melakukan sesuatu

#SUGGESTION AND RECOMMENDATION#
1. Asking for Suggestion
- Pengertian : menanyakan saran atau rekomendasi kepada seseorang
What should I do Apa yang harus kulakukan?
Any ideas? Ada ide?
Do you have any suggestion for me? Maukah kamu memberikanku beberapa
saran?
Will you give me some suggestion? Maukah kamu memberikanku beberapa
saran?

2. Giving suggestion
- Pengertian : memberikan saran atau rekomendasi kepada seseorang
PATTERN OF GIVING SUGGESTION
S + Should/Should not + V1 + O
- SHOULD = seharusnya /sebaiknya

- Saran dalam bentuk pertanyaan selain menggunakan pattern

3. Responses suggestion
- Pengertian : merespon saran atau rekomendasi kepada seseorang

- Pengertian : keharusan
- Modals of Verb : “ must, have to”
2. Prohibition
- Pengertian : larangan
- Modals of Verb : “ must not”
