Both Ancient Greek and Roman doctors
advised changes in diets, herbal
treatment, exercise, etc.

illness within families were treated by
mothers and wives.
Surgical instruments in Roman times
were influenced by the Greek
instruments.
When in crisis of illness, Romans prayed
to the Greek gods.
Romans adopted the theory of the four

Ancient Greek medicine was the foundation on which
everything that we know about medicine is built upon.
Hippocrates, the father of medicine had come up with this
foundation in which he said "Sickness is not sent by the gods,
nor was it sent by them, if we can find the cause, we can find
a cure." Compared to the prehistoric or Egyptian era, this was
an evolution of medicine as they treated illness without the
need to have treatments with supernatural causes.

Romans were quite fond of medicine and gave in great
importance. They had a health center build all around
their territory and a ton of hospitals too.

In conclusion,. I agree with the statement saying that Ancient Roman Medicine is more advanced than
Greek Medicine because although it uses the relevant information from sources like Ancient Greece, it
has its own advancements which branch down to surgeries. They are quite efficient at keeping a
healthy society because they gave importance to the health factor of everyone present.
