V. Rationale:

DepEd Order No. 12. s.2015 aims to strengthen its reading program through the implementation
of the Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Program. This program focuses on capacitating the
Kindergarten to Grade 3 teachers and instructional leaders on the basic knowledge and pedagogical skills in
literacy and numeracy and in establishing and managing a school-based mentoring/learning partnership
program as a mechanism for continuous professional development of teachers/mentors, teachers/mentees,
school managers and instructional leaders and an avenue for teachers to listen to storytelling and read aloud
activities from the best storytellers through the School – Based Learning Action Cell. According to Vice
President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte, improving literacy and numeracy and creating "peace
competencies" will be the priorities of the Department of Education (DepEd)'s review of the K to 12
curriculum.
In lieu of the stipulated aims of the Deped order no.12 s.2015 and priorities of Depart ment of
eduacation, BLNHS under the project NUMERO will provide an educational environment that promotes
mathematical skills of the learners.The purpose of the project is to provide visual representations of
mathematics inside and outside classrooms. Visual representations of mathematics inside and outside
classrooms help learners to visualize and have a constant reminder for learning their math facts.

Terminal Objectives
1. Develop mathematical skills of the learners.
2. Build the learners' confidence by providing a solid foundation in mathematics.
Enabling Objectives
1. Provide visual representations of mathematics inside and outside classrooms.
2. Integrate visual representations of mathematics inside and outside classrooms in lesson proper.
