Why is it important to include in the basic or secondary curricula the study of Safety Preparedness and
Response to Emergencies and Disasters?

Safety and preparedness response is something that all people should know because disaster can
happen anytime and we should know how to respond to certain situations may it be fire, earthquake or
a treatment for injury and it is not all the time that there will be people to help you in disastrous
situations so another advantage of knowing safety preparedness is for survival. Knowing how to survive
or to face these situations will not only save you but also other people.
