and impact of academic stress in order to adequate and efficient intervention strategy. A study of the
prevalence of stress and associated factors among medical laboratory science student in their academic
performance aimed to determine the level of stress that medical laboratory science student perceived in the
different environmental factors that they may encounter. The respondents of this research were the Medical
Technology Students of Our Lady of Fatima University and Wesleyan University Philippines during school
year 2021-2022. In this study there are five field of stressors that detect different sources of stress among
student. In the academic related stressors it has an overall weighted mean of 2.99 which means it causes
high stress the most highest weighted mean among the sources of stress in this field was test/examination.
The staff and students related stressors has an (OMW of 1.99) means it causes moderate stress. In the
Interpersonal and Expectation related stressors it has an (OMW of 2.49) which means it causes high stress.
Next was the teaching and learning related stressors it has an (OMW of 2.23) means it causes high stress.
The last factor was Financial related stressors has a (OMW of 2.54) that causes high stress. This different
