The environment in which media policy and regulation are undertaken has been radically
shifting as users more easily control their own media environments and younger users (“digital
natives”) are often most familiar with convergent media\technologies.

1. Describe how new technologies have led to the convergence of traditional and new media.
The introduction of new technologies have led of combining the traditional such
news, magazines, books and internet for new media. It improve our way of acquiring
information and our media platforms. For some instances, traditional will never be replaced
while new media offers new.

2. Explain how media convergence creates new opportunities for interaction.

Media convergence creates new opportunities for interaction in a way of people can
communicate outside and inside the country. Social media is one of the example because this
platforms interact with so many users around the globe and with the use of internet.

3. Describe the use of one or two forms of new media to share knowledge and information on
a current issue in society.
The internet-based digital platforms are the main focus of the new media infrastructure. I
believe that people who purchase newspapers could produce and read about a social issue
using print media, but practically everyone now has access to new forms of media, making it
possible for almost everyone to see news articles.

4. Explain how a person could be portrayed in public in the age of media convergence.
Since conventional and new media are merging in the era of media convergence, I believe
that a person's public image would be balanced. In other words, a person's digital self and
personal identity combine as a result of media convergence.
