SOUND

In-built camera mic: Use when the sound is close to the camera to capture a conversation or
any dialogue.

Camera mounted mic: They help improve the quality of the sound/ dialogue when someone
speaks in front of it or background sounds.

Lav mic: they are tiny mics attached to a person near their mouths. Used in theatres,
documentary’s or public speaking.

Zoom recorder: Use mainly for podcast, music and interviews.


Boom mic: When the shot is close up to allow the boom mic to be out of frame, capturing
the dialogue.

Isolation shield: These are used when you want you podcast to have good quality in its
sound during recordings. Keeping unwanted sounds out of the audio.
