CONTEST MECHANICS

1. This is a group contest and there are five groups to compete.

2. Each group will be composed of six members, one of each year level from grade 7 to
grade 12.

3. The Sci-Math quiz covers general information in Science and Mathematics.

4. The contest is divided into three parts, namely: Easy Round,

Moderate Round, and Difficult Round. Easy round is one point (1 point), moderate
round is three points(3points) and in Difficult round is five points (5 poins).

5. There are five questions in each category. The questions will be given in
multiple -choice form.

6. Each group will be provided with illustration board for their final
Answers and scratch papers. On the illustration board, the contestant’s
number is indicated.

7. Each category will be given time limit, 15 seconds for EASY round, 30 seconds for
moderate round and 45 seconds for Difficult round.
The question will be read twice. The group are allowed to start
answering while the question is read. After the time allotted for
each question expires, the contestants will be asked to stop
writing and to raise their answers facing the QUIZ MASTER. The
quizmaster shall then publicly announce the answer of the
contestants who got the correct answer.

8.At the end of each round, scores will be added.

The group with the highest score will be declared champion and
the winner.

9. If there is a tie, clincher questions will be given. The

first contestant who will gain point over the other shall be
considered as the winner in the tie-breaker.
