Zongshen User Manual

This motorcycle is designed for road riding only, and a rider and passenger are limited. Please read
this manual before use, to master the basic function and use methods. The data, instructions and
specifications in this manual are based on the design features of your motorcycle. Our company
reserves the right to make changes in the specifications of its vehicles without prior notice. Without
permission, no part of this manual may be reprinted by any company or person. We sincerely hope
that you can give us your suggestions on the design, manufacture and quality of this kind of
motorcycle, so that we can make the improvement in time. This manual is for reference only, taking
material objects as standard.
For any repairs not mentioned in this manual, refer to the maintenance manual and parts catalog for
future reference. And for any questions, please contact your local service center or your distributor,
and we will offer you the best and fastest service. Use only genuine spare parts and oil
manufactured by our company.

Identification number (vin) and engine number


The vehicle identification number, engine number and certificate are used for licensing and
registration residency.
1-Vin is stamped under the seat and on the left deck.
2-The nameplate is riveted under the seat or on the left cover or in front of the fork.
3-The engine number is stamped on the left side under the crankcase.
Fuel system
Name Specifications

Fuel switch (on) Turn the fuel switch to , fuel will enter the
carburetor from the oil tank.

Fuel switch (off) Turn the fuel switch, fuel will enter the carburetor
from the main oil pipe. And if you do not use the
motorcycle, turn the fuel switch to the circle.

Oil filter The fuel must pass through the air filter, which
will ensure fuel cleanliness.
Danger
1.When the fuel changes leakage, repair and replace it in time.
2. Clean the fuel and fuel filter thoroughly.

Blocking and instrument

Name Specification

1. Ignition lock open Turn the ignition key to the position to supply power to the
ignition. The key cannot be removed.

2. Ignition lock near Turn the ignition key to the position to cut off the power. The key
can be removed.

3. Steering lock The address is blocked. The bicycle cannot be used. The key can be
removed.

4. Gear indicator Displays the motor gear and N stands for neutral.

5. Left turn indicator Indicator light means that the left turn indicator is working.

6. High light indicator. Illumination means that the high beam is working.

7. Right turn indicator Illumination means that the right turn indicator is working.

8. Fuel gauge Indicates the volume of fuel in the fuel tank.

9. Speedometer km / h Indicate the running speed.

10. Odometer Record cumulative mileage

Warning
1.Park the motorcycle in a safe place and lock the steering lock to prevent theft.
2.When the speedometer needle goes out of the red zone (the speed should be control in the red
area), and the rider should pay attention to the coding of the road to avoid falling.
3. Never walk on the high track for a long time (keep the tachometer toe out of the red area) to
avoid engine damage.

Left and right controller

1. High power indicator Turn the switch to , to use the high beam.

2. Lower beam indicator Turn the switch to , to use the low beam.

Ignition screw Turn left/right the turn signal switch when changing the driving
direction.

4. Horn button Press the button to use the horn.

5. Choke handle Press it at cold start, close the choke, increase the mixed gas.

6. Illumination switch (on) Turn the switch to , to turn on the headlight.

7. Position light (off) Turn the switch to , to turn on the position light.

8. Illumination switch (off) Turn the switch to , to switch off the lighting system.

9. Electric start button Press the button, to use the electric starter (caution: If the
motorcycle is in a gear, you must hold the clutch lever or shift
the gear to N-gear. Then the electric starter is ready).

Caution
When starting the motorcycle with electric starter, each starting time should not exceed 5s,
should not be less than 10s and check the motorcycle if it cannot be started successfully for 3s
continuously.

Name Specifications

1. Throttle handle. Control carburetor mixed gas flow, free stroke: 2mm ~ 6mm.

2. Gear shift pedal. This bike adopts 4-speed shifting method, slow down the throttle

Caution:
1. This bike adopts automatic clutch, when starting the bike, shift the gear in the neutral position.
2. If the clutch slips or cannot be separated completely, we recommend users to have it adjusted at
our company's professional maintenance station center.
3. Brake matters to human and poverty security, so it needs maintenance to achieve safe riding. We
suggest you to maintain your motorcycle in our special.

Start-up and preheating
When electric start, each start time should not exceed 5s, each interval should not be less than 10s.
If the engine fails to start continuously for 3 times, inspect the motorcycle. Perform cold start and
preheating according to the following steps:

1. Turn the ignition on and turn the ignition key to the "ON" position. Return the gear to the neutral
"N" position or hold the clutch handle.
2. Close the choke and squeeze the front brake handlebar or rear brake pedal in passing and turn on
the starter switch.
3.Pass the starter lever with force. Or press the electric power button with the right thumb.
4.Rotate the throttle lever to add fuel of appropriate volume and to start the motorcycle. After
starting the motorcycle, return the starter lever. Preheat 3 ~ 5 minutes at ideal speed (1500-100) r /
min.
Caution
1. When starting, shift the gear to neutral or have the clutch disengaged. If the neutral indicator does
not illuminate when the gear is in neutral, have the motorcycle inspected at our company's service
center or professional service station.
2.If the engine cannot be started electrically, wait a few minutes to protect the battery and then
restart the engine. Do not continue to start more than 5s for each start. Use the starter when the
motor cannot be electrically sarted.
3. If the engine cannot be started, turn the ignition key off first. Step on the starter lever several
times and wait for about 1 m. Then turn the ignition key back on to start the engine.
4.To prolong the service life, run the motorcycle after preheating it for 3-5min at cold start, at the
same time, do not run with a very high speed. When preheating, do not run the motorcycle,
otherwise motorcycle may not heat up well.
Riding operation
1.After starting and preheating, return the main and side supports. Pass the starter lever downward
with the left foot (caution: Before shifting from neutral, the brake is in braking condition). To shift
to first gear.
Release the brake and turn the throttle handlebars slowly to accelerate. Slowly release the clutch to
start the motorcycle moving. After the clutch handlebars are fully released and the motorcycle
reaches a certain speed, change the gear from a lower gear to a higher gear.

Danger:
1.Before riding, the rider should wear protection (such as, helmet, protective gloves, clothing
protection, etc).
2.If the clutch slips or cannot be fully disengaged, the motorcycle is prohibited from riding.
3.Never turn the throttle grip suddenly when you want to increase the throttle.
Operation for new vehicles.
After purchasing a new vehicle, users should pay attention to its operation. (1000 primary
kilometers is the break-in period, use odometer figue for standard). The break-in period is very
important for a new vehicle, which will have a direct impact on the service life. For the first 1000
km, keep the engine below 6500 r / m in all gears (speed is 50 km / h lower, see the speedometer).
And choose the right gear shifting method to make sure all the gearing matches well. Maintain the
vehicle after the first breakage procedure, which will ensure future performance and durability.
Replace our company's special engine oil after running for 300 km. Contact your local distributor or
our company's service center if there are any engine failures during the break-in period.
Inspection and replacement of engine oil
Engine oil: 1.Ol, replace the engine oil periodically: 1.OL; Replace the oil after preheating several
minutes.Please obey the rules strictly.
1.Check if the engine oil is blackened or becomes bad. If so, replace the engine oil. Check if the oil
level is below the lower mark. If so, add engine oil to the level between the upper and lower marks.
2. When the luboil is blackened or bad, remove the drain screw to drain luboil and replace the
engine oil.
3.Before pouring the oil, put a pan under the motor, and they disassemble the bolt. When the oil is
almost poured over, turn the engine over to make sure all the oil is out. Then put 0.5L gasoline in
the crankcase, and clean it. Then assemble the bowl and add special motor oil.
4.Use the special oil recommended by our company.
Caution
1. Support the motorcycle with the main stand to check the oil level. Make the motorcycle stable,
because a tilt could cause an incorrect reading.
2.Advice you replace the engine oil in our company's maintenance center and use our company's
special engine oil.
3. Do not add any chemical additive in the engine oil, because the engine oil may lubricate the
clutch, while the additive may cause it to slip.

4. After replacing the engine oil, check the oil pressure according to the following details. Remove
the oil drain screw, start the engine and keep it idling until the engine oil drops from the oil drain
hole. If no oil comes out in one minute, stop the engine.

Brake inspection and adjustment

Inspection of hydraulic brakes.


1.Check the stroke of the handlebar and brake pedal to see if it is in the range of the standard value.
When the handlebar and pedal cannot be readjusted, which means that the brake shoe brake and
cannot hold, replace the brake shoe.
2.Check the oil level in the observation hole. When the oil level is below the lower limit, add brake
oil to the upper limit. Recycled brake oil: DOT4 or DOT3

Drum brake adjustment


1.Check the stroke of the handlebar and brake pedal to see if it is in the standard value range. When
the pedal cannot be readjusted or the brake arm neddle exceeds the mark on the drum cover, to
maintain, replace the brake shoe.
2. Hold the brake arm and adjust the adjusting nut clockwise to decrease the pedal free travel,
otherwise adjust counterclockwise to increase. So to reach the standard value.
3. If the brake switch needs to be adjusted, hold it first and then turn the adjusting nut. When you
step on the pedal, the brake light illuminates meaning that the brake switch is in the correct position.
Standard brake handlebar value: 10mm ~ 20mm.
Standard brake pedal value: 20mm ~ 30mm.

Caution
1. After adjusting the drive chain or removing the rear wheel, check and adjust the rear brake free
travel.
2. After adjusting the rear brake, you must readjust the rear brake light switch. Also check if the
wheel can rotate.
3.Adjust the rear brake or replace the brake pads at our comany service center.
4. Inspect and adjust the brake system periodically at our company's service center.
