Oratory Speech

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn. Benjamin
Franklin .

Good morning, honorable jury, fellow participants in this contest, and the public present, I
take the floor to express my ideas regarding the topic: What girls and boys need.

Love, affection and education will be the points most requested by us, because you will see
that today it is what we have the least.

We are certainly the future of generations, and therefore, we must have the skills to
continue being part of a demanding society.

We are not the source of the problems, we are the resources needed to solve them.

We do not represent an expense, we represent an investment.

We are not young people, we are people who can change the future.

That is why it is necessary that you listen to us, that you give us a little bit of your attention.
That they do not leave us alone at home, nor lend us tools that as children we should not
use.

There is a clear example of past events that are regrettable, both at school and in the public
school where one of the many children who suffer ended up destroying their lives.

I wonder what about the parents, and the teachers? We need your support, your
understanding, to guide us through life.

We are little sponges and everything stays with us. That's why let's avoid those bad
memories that we make when we are alone because they have to go to work, or when you
arrive tired and don't want to listen to me.

Let's leave behind the statistic that says that 4 out of 10 homes have fathers absent. We
need a family union.

Dad , the feeling has to be put into words, but above all with actions. It won't help if you
shout from the rooftops that you love us or publish it on a social network. To really give us
what we need, it is necessary that you show us affection, attention, and love.

Don't just give us tablets or cell phones to shut us up, teach me how to use it for good, give
me the values we need. Don't make me look like a burden.
That is why today I come to propose and demand that they respect our rights as children
and that they learn to listen to us.

Just like quality education, it will only be achieved if there are environments where we are
happy when learning.

We need an education for life that goes beyond academics and includes lessons in
understanding, human rights, peace, acceptance and active citizenship.

Whether the parents' jobs are short hours or fewer work days, family time is essential.

We need equipped schools where we can have access to technological education.

Because children are the hope of the world. Jose Marty
