 FOREWORD

Assalamu’alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

All praise belongs only to Allahu Rabbi, to the Most Ghafur God, the One who has given
thousands of immeasurable blessings. The blessings of faith, the blessings of Islam, and the
blessings of health so that we can experience all of His blessings. Salawat and greetings may
be poured out and bestowed upon the Prophet of the end of time, a Prophet who since his birth
alone has shaken the universe and caused a stir among the angels of Allah SWT, the Prophet
Muhammad SAW. May his family, friends, and we as his people who follow his sunnah receive
his syafaat at the end of the days.
ADIA International Festival 2023 is an event held to build Ukhuwah Islamiyah,
appreciate and hone students' skills in Arabic and English both verbally and in writing with the
theme "RELIGIOUS MODERATION IN DIGITAL CONTEXT". This activity is an activity that was
initiated as a result of the meeting of the Dean of Adab/Humanities Science Forum of Islamic
State Universities throughout Indonesia (PTKIN)and the Association of Lecturers in Adab
Sciences (ADIA) at UIN Imam Bonjol, Padang, on 4-6 June 2023 in collaboration with the Faculty
of Cultures and Languages at the Islamic StateUniversity Raden Mas Said, Surakarta
We thank Ass. Prof. Dr. M. Faisol, M.Ag. as General Chair of the Association of Lecturers
in Adab Sciences (ADIA) and his staff who have provided support for holding the 2023 ADIA
International Festival. We would also like to express our thanks to all parties and to the
competition participants who have been involved and have provided their energy and ideas in
organizing and enliven this event. Our hope is that this event can run smoothly and be useful

ABOUT ADIA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

ADIA International Festival 2023 was initiated after a forum meeting of the Deans of
Adab/Humanities Faculties in Indonesian Islamic State Universities, held by the Association of
Adab Sciences Lecturers (ADIA) at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang on 4-6 June 2023, in collaboration
with the Faculty of Adab and Languages of the Islamic State University (UIN) Raden Mas Said,
Surakarta. This event is held to build Ukhuwah Islamiyah, appreciate and hone students' skills in
Arabic and English both in speaking and writing.

 GENERAL GUIDELINE

a) Participants are undergraduate students at universities in Indonesia or abroad,

proven by a photo of Student Identity Card
b) Participants register and upload required documents along with the file for the
competition in accordance with the timeline.

d) Participants must follow the organizing committee’s instagram, @fab.surakarta

ADIA_FEST23 (@adia_internationalfestival), proven by a screen capture showing
that you have followed which is uploaded along with other documents.
e) Each competition is subject to registration fee of fifty thousand rupiahs (Rp
50.000,-) or equivalent for participants from abroad, sent to committee’s account

g) Participants must send the video or file for the competition on time (before the
due date) to the bit.ly link presented in the guideline of each category.
h) For competition in which participant have to send video (Islamic song, poetry
reading, speech, storytelling, dubbing, and news reading), the vide file has to

i) Work/video submitted has never been sent to any other competition and is not
being reviewed for other events, has never been uploaded to any social media,
proven by a statement letter of originality uploaded together with other
documents.
j) The copyright of the work/video is fully granted to the ADIA International Festival
2023 committee.
k) Participants must follow the rules and schedule of the competition stated in this
guideline unless there are changes in the future.
l) Jury’s decision is final and cannot be contested.
m) The winners are announced in the instagram of Faculty of Cultures and Languages
(@fab.surakarta) and instagram of ADIA_FEST23 (@adia_internationalfestival).

COMPETITION GUIDELINE

A. Scientific Papers (LKTI) Bahasa Indonesia

● Participants of scientific papers competition can be an individual student or in a

group of maximum 3 students.
● Participants are active students of universities in Indonesia or abroad, proven by
Student Identification Card.
● Each competition is subject to registration fee of fifty thousand rupiahs (Rp
50.000,-) or equivalent for participants from abroad, sent to the committee's
account number (stated in general guideline). Payment receipt is uploaded along
with other documents. Participants can confirm the transfer to the person in
charge of each category.

 ● Participants prepare a scientific paper under the theme: “Religious Moderation in
Digital Era”, written in Bahasa Indonesia following PUEBI (Pedoman Umum Ejaan
Bahasa Indonesia), and upload it in PDF form of maximum 100MB.
● The paper submitted is written by the participant himself and has never been
published to any other platform or competition. It is proven by statement of
originality written by the participants and uploaded along with other required
documents.
● The copyright of the work/video is fully granted to the ADIA International Festival
2023 committee.
● The committee may disqualify participants due to any case of misconduct.

Technical Guideline of Scientific Papers competition

● Participant must upload the required documents (photo or copy of student card,

B. Speech - Arabic/English

● The Participants are individual students.

● Participants are active students of universities in Indonesia or abroad, proven by

● Each competition is subject to registration fee of fifty thousand rupiahs (Rp 50.000,-
) or equivalent for participants from abroad, sent to the committee's account
number (stated in general guideline). Payment receipt is uploaded along with
other documents. Participants can confirm the transfer to the person in charge of
each category.
● Speech text is typed in A4 paper with Traditional Arabic 20 for Arabic speech and
Times New Roman 12 for English speech, uploaded in PDF form.
● The speech video is between 5 - 7 minutes, with a maximum of 100MB.
● Theme of the speech is “Religious Moderation in Digital Context”, originally
created by the participant and has not been submitted, uploaded, or reviewed for
other events. It is proven by a statement of originality signed by the participant
and uploaded together with the other required documents.
