Nowadays, people use lots of social media. From that, they try to write down the
information that social media tries to know. For example, social media try to know the
account owners’ ages, birthdays, locations or contact numbers. It is good to write the
data if the owners of that account get locked out of their own accounts, they can access
them using their data and communicate with other people, but some people see that it is
unnecessary to do that. In my opinion, I definitely agree with this statement that social
media should not be allowed to collect users’ data. I have two reasons for this.

To begin with, if people write down all the information in the social media that
everyone can see, some people might try to do bad things using other people’s
personal information. For example, in the Philippines, who sees people’s information,
tries to borrow money from the bank with people’s information. Because of that, the
owner of the information got to borrow the money from the bank even if the owner never
borrowed the money from there. Not only the Philippines who are embezzling other
people’s information from social media. In Korea, there was a event that who use the
people’s information, they ordered the lots of food to address without payment, the
owner should be pay the money. There are lots of problems with writing down
information in social media.

In addition, the situation is getting worse as social media tries to collect people's
information. There is a huge event where Facebook got hacked. In this situation, half of
the people's information got shown. While people’s information got shown, Facebook
tried to restore it, but by that time, some of people’s information had already been
jeopardized. Although facebook paid those account owners, it is not a good idea to
show their information to the public. Not only this, there was a fake event in South
Korea that impersonated the SNS. They wrote down those who are users of the SNS.
After that, they used people’s information and hacked their account, the account users
could not access their own accounts. Therefore, social media should not collect
people’s information.
In conclusion, most social media platforms collect people’s information. If they try
to collect these days, there will be some problems. Like some people see the user’s
information and try to embezzle the user and get some money from the bank, or if a
hacker hacked the social media, users information will spread to other people. This
situation will get worse. Social media should stop collecting user’s information, and
people have to be aware about the consequences of posting their personal information.
