Answer the following questions:

1. How did the media influence your way of thinking, feeling, and doing things?
No one can deny that the influence of media becomes stronger each time.
Nowadays, there are several media outlets in which many people may access news and
information not only from their own country but also from around the world. I believe that
media has a huge impact on my way of thinking, feeling, and behaving. In fact, I am more
aware of relevant news in the Philippines and other countries because information is at
my fingertips. With that, I base my actions on what I read in media.
However, there is a lot of fake news and disinformation circulating on the internet.
And this is something we should think about since it will have a significant influence on
how people think, feel, and act. I am not the type of person who believes everything I read
on the internet. I always do fact check, especially when the information appears to be too
good to be true. And I believe that this type of conduct is a result of how the media
influences how I think, feel, and act.

2. What is the media now would you like to change? Prefer to remain? How would
you do it?
I want to change or improve social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and
YouTube. These social media platforms have billions of users worldwide. The reason I
would like to change is because of fake news. Without conducting a fact check, many
individuals may assume that the information they see and read on social media is
accurate. As I have noticed, I have a lot of Facebook friends who are fake news peddlers.
They continue to spread false information on their timeline. As a consequence, many
individuals may take it seriously.
Print media is the form of media that I prefer to continue using. Young generation
today is unwilling to read newspapers since news can be disseminated on various social
media platforms, where they may read, watch, or listen to it. The major reason I prefer
print media is that it will help to reduce the dissemination of false information, especially
when print media is used as a medium of communication. I know that print media is what
my parents grew up with, and I know that it is still present today, but not many
people purchase newspapers to stay updated with the latest events in their country and
across the world.
Also, I really do not want people to forget how vital different types of print media
were back then, and I do not even want them to forsake their old habit of acquiring
information. To do this, I will use my social media platform to reach out to a large number
of people and inform them about the importance of print media and the benefits of utilizing
it. I will also support such publishing companies by purchasing their comic books or
newspapers. As a result, the print media will continue circulating in people's lives.

3. Give concrete steps of how you can change or improve your use of these
instruments of communication?
The first thing I will do to change or improve my use of these communication tools
is to learn and understand how to use them properly and why I am utilizing them. After
knowing all of these, the second step in improving my usage of these communication
tools is to make it a habit to thoroughly review the stuff I intend to put on the internet
several times. In this way, I can be more confident that no one will access whatever I post
on the internet. Finally, I will ensure that everything I do with these communication tools,
particularly the application I installed, is legal and beneficial in my daily life.

4. What values have you gathered from media and emulated from them? Would you
like to change/deepen them? How?
When using social media, the value I copied or emulated from it is truthfulness. I
would want to go into more detail because this is a principle that some people do not
understand or appreciate its importance. People nowadays want to form relationships
through social media platforms. As a result, some people want to make their online profile
images and information more appealing. However, there are certain people who are
hesitant to expose their true look and personality online. That is why They were obliged
to lie to the person with whom they communicated online by not using their real name
and even the profile pictures are not from themselves, which I believe is not a good idea
because of the possible consequences, especially if the real owner of the photo discovers
that they are using it for such act without the owner's consent. People like these fails to
understand the significance of truthfulness. And I believe I will never be that type of person
because I want to be recognized by many people for who I truly am, free of insecurities.

5. With the light of Gospel values, how do you envision the condition of media
today?
I believe that the state of the media today is no better than it was in the past.
Because of advancements in technology and the tremendous human demand for
information, several types of media have emerged and gained prominence. This includes
social media, where many people have access to it. I believe that the status of media
today, particularly social media, is poor since many people do not use it properly. Some
people utilize this platform to propagate hate, negativity, and false information on the
internet. However, there are still people who continue to fight to at least lessen hatred
and disinformation on the internet.
In the recent 2022 Philippines election, the opinion of the people is divided on
whose president they want to sit in Malacañang. As a result, hatred, negativity, and
disinformation were rampant during those days, and I feel that fake news is still an issue
in society today. As a result, I would want to inform everyone that their actions on social
media may have far-reaching implications for many individuals. I wish that through various
media, love, hope, and reconciliation may prevail for everyone. LOVE for God and for
the netizens. Concern and Respect not only for those people on internet, but also
to people in the community. HOPE. By expressing confidence in the online world, one
may inspire others to be confident in themselves. RECONCILATION. A little act of
forgiveness to others can bring the world back to peace and humility.
