Given for extra-ordinary achievement in academics. In my case, it was for scoring highest marks at the university level among all colleges in 2nd year BDS. b. College sends recommendation to Army Welfare Education society. AWES forwards it to Adjutant general branch of Army headquarter in New Delhi. c. Why does TOI donate? To show it's patriotic values and concern for the Indian Army personell.
3. UNIVERSITY RECORD HOLDER IN ACADEMICS 2014
a. In my 2nd year, I scored the highest marks at University level ie NTR university, and my percentage , ie, 83% was highest recorded till date among all colleges of all years of 2nd year. (2014) b. The previous record was of 2009 of 80% by a student from Sri Sai Dental College. Post that nobody had got above 80% until 2014 where I got 83%. c. Is the record valid till date? I am Not aware. I tried to check with my college but there was no recent data available after the university got changed. d. Based on this achievement, college forwarded my name for TOI scholarship. 4. SPECIAL MONETARY AWARD FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE 2016 a. Rs 10,000 Given by AWES for overall 2nd position in BDS (2012-2016) presented during the convocation. b. Given every year to top 3 candidates during convocation.
5. AGIF ARMY SCHOLARSHIP 2013-16
a. It is a sum of Rs 40,000 given every year to candidates based on their academic achievement. 6. SILVER MEDAL FOR OVERALL ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE a. It was given for overall 2nd position based on the cumulative marks of all four years, presented during convocation.
