Four-Year Integrated Bachelor of Education Programme
Admission Notice 2020-2024

Prarambh, State of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana (henceforth

referred to as Prarambh) invites on-line applications for admission in a Four-year Integrated
Bachelor of Education Degree Course in the following streams:

1. Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Education- 30 seats

2. Bachelor of Science + Bachelor of Education-70 seats

The course will be conducted as per scheme of studies approved by the Maharshi Dayanand
University, Rohtak, Haryana and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Applications for B.Sc. B.Ed. and B.A. B.Ed. Course should be submitted online at

http://cee.ncert.gov.in from 6th April, 2020 to 4 May, 2020, and a Common Entrance

Examination (CEE)-2020 will be held on 24 May, 2020. Candidates who wish to apply for
this four-year integrated Course will have to appear in the Common Entrance Examination
(CEE) 2020, being conducted by Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal, the details of which
is available on the website http://cee.ncert.gov.in. For admission in the four-year Integrated
Course of Prarambh, a separate merit list will be drawn up from amongst candidates, who are
appearing in the Combined Entrance Examination 2020, being conducted by Regional Institute
of Education, Bhopal and who fulfill all the eligibility conditions laid down by Prarambh State
of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education, Jhajjar, Haryana, and have given their option for
seeking admission in Prarambh. In case of any change in schedule, the same will be notified
only on the website http://cee.ncert.gov.in.

ELIGIBILITY:
Eligibility for B.Sc. B.Ed. Course

1. Candidates seeking admission to Physical Science Group must have passed

Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) (Mathematics includes
Mathematics or Statistics) and those seeking admission to Biological Science
Group (CBZ) must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB)
(Biology includes Biology or Biotechnology) at +2 level.
 2. Candidates must have passed +2 / Hr. Sec./ Sr. Sec. or any equivalent
examination recognised by University/ Board with at least 60% marks .The
examination should be recognised by M.D.U. Rohtak, the affiliating University
of Prarambh.

3. Candidates who have passed +2 or any equivalent examination in 2018, 2019

or appearing /appeared in 2020 only.

Eligibility for B.A. B.Ed. Course

Candidates must have passed Hr. Secondary/Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination

in Science, Arts and Commerce streams with at least 60% marks in 2018, 2019 or appearing
/appeared in 2020. The examination should be recognized by M.D.U. Rohtak, the affiliating
University of Prarambh.

Common Entrance Examination

A Common Entrance Examination for admission to a Four-year Integrated Bachelor of

Education Degree will be held as per schedule available in the subsequent pages. Keeping in
view the rationale and objectives of establishing this premier institute and ensuring quality
education , the minimum qualifying criteria , in all the disciplines , in the Common Entrance
Examination will be same as RIE’s i.e.

Results of Common Entrance Examination & Ranking

For B.Sc. B.Ed.

60% from Entrance examination and 40% from Obtained marks of PCM or PCB out of
Maximum marks of PCM/PCB in qualifying examination.
For B.A. B.Ed.

60% from Entrance examination and 40% from obtained total marks of qualifying
examination out of Maximum marks of qualifying examination.

RESERVATION:

Reservation in admission would be as per Government of Haryana instructions It is further

made clear that benefit of reservation will be given to the candidates, who are Haryana
domicile of and have got the requisite certificate from Haryana State Only.

Exam Pattern of CEE 2020

1. No. of test items-80, Time Duration-120 minutes.

2. Out of 80 questions, Language Proficiency in English 20 questions, Teaching
Aptitude/Attitude 30 questions and Reasoning Ability 30 questions weightage will be
given.
3. Medium of Test Booklets – only in English and Hindi.
4. Correct answer(s) will carry 2 marks each, Wrong answer(s) will carry negative
marking of (minus) -0.5 marks each and Question(s) unattended will carry no marks.

5. Exam duration: 2 Hrs. (from 9:00 am to 11:00 am)

Syllabus of CEE 2020

For all the groups, areas to be tested are 1) Language Proficiency, 2) Teaching
Aptitude/Attitude, and 3) Reasoning Ability.

1. Language Proficiency indicating specific areas like comprehension, rearranging

sentences, selecting suitable words for the blanks, finding out errors in parts of the
sentences, finding out equivalent meaning to the given phrases, finding out
suitable words for the incomplete sentences, sequencing, grammar which includes
synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, tenses, articles.
2. Teaching Aptitude will cover specific areas like attitude towards education,
children and teaching profession; interest in teaching; leadership qualities & group
management; emotional & social adjustment; intrapersonal & interpersonal skills;
and general awareness of contemporary issues pertaining to school education.
 3. Reasoning Ability indicating specific areas like verbal non-verbal reasoning,
missing numbers, number series, letter series, theme finding, jumbling, analogy,
odd one out, arranging the statements in a sequential form, statement and
conclusions, syllogism, logical problems, establishing relationships.

Documents to be submitted at the time of obtaining Admission:-

The Candidates should bring all Original certificates/documents with self attested copies of
the testimonials at the time of admission along with six latest passport size photographs. They
will also be required to submit the following documents. Candidates should retain a printed
copy of the Application Form (duly filled in by the candidate)

(a) Resident of Haryana: Self attested photocopy of Haryana Resident Certificate issued
by the competent authority i.e., Deputy Commissioner/City Magistrate/Sub-Divisional
Officer (civil)/ Tehsildar/ NaibTehsildar/ Head of the department. In the case of
candidate who has qualified the examination i.e., 10+2 from a school situated in
Haryana for current year will produce a certificate issued by the principal of the
concerned institution as resident certificate.
(b) Self attested photocopy of 10+2/Sr. Secondary School Certificate issued by Board.
(c) Self attested photocopy of the secondary certificate as a documentary proof of age and
subject passing Hindi/Sanskrit.
(d) Original copy of the certificate of good conduct issued by the Principal of the
Institution last attended or a Gazzetted Officer of Haryana State.
(e) An affidavit regarding anti ragging from students & parents.
(f) A declaration / under taking from the students for abiding rules and regulation of
Prarambh/ and its Hostel.
(g) Migration certificate of Board of School Education concerned in original.
(h) Only two self-attested photocopy of the following certificates (belonging to reserve
categories) is to be submitted along with the original certificates at the time of
Admission/Counseling.
i. For the candidates belonging to SC:- copy of certificate issued by the
competent authority i.e., Tehsildar/ NaibTehsildar, Head of the Department- in
case of Govt. employees.
 ii. For the candidates belonging to BCA/BCB:- copy of certificate issued by
the competent authority i.e., Tehsildar/NaibTehsildar/Head of the Department
- in case of Govt. employees.
iii. For the candidates belonging to Economically Backward Persons in the
General Caste Category (EBPGC):- copy of certificate issued by the
competent authority i.e., Tehsildar/NaibTehsildar, Head of the Department - in
case of Govt. employees as per the State Government instructions.
iv. Physically Challenged (PHC):- copy of certificate issued by Civil Surgeon of
the District Concerned. The disability should not be less than 40%.
v. For Dependent of children or grandchildren (Maternal/Paternal)
claiming the benefit of Freedom Fighter:- The certificate from Chief
Secretary Haryana and relationship certificate from the Deputy
Commissioner/competent authority.
vi. For Ex-servicemen & Dependent Ex-servicemen category:-copy of
certificate issued from the Zila Sainik/District Sailors and Soldiers Board.

Note:

1. Admission of candidates, who fulfill all eligibility conditions, shall be made on the
basis of relative merit (stream wise).
2. In case any candidate is found to have furnished false/fake information or certificate
etc. or is found to have withheld/concealed information in his/her online application
form or thereafter at any state of admission, his/her candidature for admission will be
cancelled and legal proceedings will be initiated against such candidate.
3. A minimum of 15 students will be have to take admission in a particular course/
stream, for making it functional. In case the no. of students taking admission in a
particular stream is less than 15, then that particular stream will not be started and the
admission fee deposited by the students will be refunded. In such a case the no. of
seats in the other streams will be increased, depending upon the performance of the
students in the Common Entrance Examination.
4. The vacant seats notified in different streams may increase in case students, who have
already taken admission, withdraw their candidature.
