Generalities
This report specifically describes the methods and solutions adopted for the development and verification of the
thermal conditions met by the housing that is individualized.

Legal framework

The undersigned professional certifies that the project described above; complies with the standards corresponding
to the ATMOSPHERIC DECONTAMINATION PLAN FOR THE CENTRAL VALLEY OF THE PROVINCE
OF CURICÓ.

1.- MAXIMUM THERMAL TRANSMITTANCE OF THE THERMAL ENVELOPE.

According to decree 44, the home must comply with the provisions of the following table:

Thermal transmittance of the thermal envelope:

ELEMENT STANDARD WORTH
CEILING 0,38
WALL Value [W /(m 2 K)] 0,80
VENTILATED 0,60
FLOOR
DOOR 1,70

In order to comply with these standards, in this case the following alternatives were adopted:

1.1 CEILINGS:
It is fulfilled using the solution from the official list of constructive solutions for thermal conditioning
corresponding to an R100 material, code R100/PE.7.1. This solution determines the use of EXPANDED
POLYSTYRENE sheets 100 mm thick and with a density of 10 Kg/m3.

1.2 WALLS:
First level
The walls of the project are structured in masonry, built from artisanal bricks measuring 285 x 143 x 90 [mm]
thick, joined with a sand-cement mortar. The average thickness of the vertical and horizontal stonework is 20 mm.
On both sides there is a 25 mm thick thermal stucco, providing a thermal resistance (R) 0.42 m² K/ W (Thermal
Transmittance (U) 2.33 W/m² *K) corresponding to Code 1.2.GBA5.3 of the Official List of Constructive
Solutions for Thermal Conditioning of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
The coating on the interior sides of all the perimeter walls was considered a thermal insulator with the commercial
name POLIGYP . It is a 10mm Gypsum-Cardboard Board to which a 15kg/m3, 40mm thick Expanded
Polystyrene sheet is attached. According to the product technical sheet, the element has a thermal resistance(R) OF
1.0241 m² K/ W ((Thermal Transmittance (U) 0.9765 W/m² *K).

This solution together with the wall provides a thermal transmittance of 0.6925 W/m2K, a value lower than the
established maximum of 0.80 W/m2K. by the PDA. (technical sheet of the material is attached)

Second level
Constructive element of the perimeter and interior wall is made up of structural Covintec panel (1100 – 76).
Said panel is composed of a 7.6 cm thick and 5 cm cross-linked steel structural mesh, with a core of expanded
polyethylene with a density of 20 kg/m3, and covered on both sides with self-compacting concrete, sprayed
mechanically.
It also includes a lower and upper floor in 80x40 x 2mm steel channel.
Both interior and exterior finishes use plastering as a finish, and interior latex paint, and exterior textured paint.

This solution together with the wall provides a thermal transmittance of 0.67 W/m2K, a value lower than the
established maximum of 0.80 W/m2K. by the PDA. (technical sheet of the material is attached)

1.3 VENTILATED FLOOR:

The project does not have a ventilated floor, since it is in direct contact with the ground.

1.4 DOORS:
The Main Door is considered a paneled type, dimensions 1.0m wide x 2.05m high and 0.045m thick at the main
entrance. For the rest of the accesses, exterior Solid Wood Doors 0.80 meters wide x 2.05 meters high and 0.045
meters are considered. in kitchen and loggia access. All doors will have a 40 x 90mm door frame. P-type rubber
weatherstrip around the perimeter of the meeting between the sash and the frame. Rubber seal bottom door leaf up
to NPT. Mortise lock, with cylinder on both sides, bolt with two pins and two turns. Interior and exterior handle.
Bottom Space: 15mm
The use of doors is complied with, which provide a thermal transmittance of 3.03 W/m2K for the main access and
1.7 W/m2K for the rest of the doors (solution from the list is attached).

2.- RISK OF CONDENSATION

The constructive solution for both the roof complex and the walls of the building guarantees reducing surface and
interstitial humidity as indicated in Decree No. 49 and in relation to what is stated in NCH 1973 of 2014.

3.- AIR INFILTRATION

Point 3 is governed by the following characteristics represented in the tables indicated below:

Table N°9. Air Infiltration.

To comply with this requirement, alternative b) Air Infiltration – Art. 25 – where the method used as a constructive
solution will be described:

3.1 Door Seals: The PVC type seal with self-adhesive is consulted for the meeting of the door leaf and NPT
(finished floor level), a silicone perimeter seal for both the exterior and interior 5 mm fillet is also
consulted. for the meeting of the opening and the frame and the finishing pilaster.

3.2 Window Seals: In the case of windows, the rubber/plush type seal is consulted at the meeting between the
sashes and the window frame, and the installation will be done according to the manufacturer's
instructions, as well as at the joints. of the opening and the frame will have a 5 mm fillet silicone perimeter
seal. around the entire exterior perimeter, with a finishing pilaster.

3.3 Wind Tightness: In the case of doors and windows, the manufacturer ensures quality, airtightness and
durability, as indicated by NCH 892.

4.- VENTILATION

The building has natural ventilation, that is, it has sliding or folding windows in all its rooms and with access to the
outside, which allows the constant renewal of air, with dimensions and characteristics mentioned in the technical
specifications and project plans. , complying with what is stated in the General Urban Planning and Construction
Ordinance in its title 4, article 4.1.2 and 4.1.3 respectively, and with what is established in regulations NCH 3308
and 3309.

5.- CONTROL OF SOLAR GAINS

Windows
The window complexes, depending on their orientation and thermal transmittance value U,
They must have a percentage equal to or less than that indicated in the following Table:

Considering that the projected windows will be common thermopanel type, made of 6/12/6mm monolithic glass,
and that its thermal transmittance is 2.8 w/m2k , it is within the category of greater than or equal to 2.8 , therefore :

 For the North orientation it is established that:

o On the 1st level, a glazed surface of 14.44% is below the maximum required of 83%, therefore, it
complies.
o On the 2nd level, a glazed surface of 18.53% is below the maximum required of 83%, therefore, it
complies.

3
 For South orientation it is established that:
o On the 1st level, a glazed surface of 34.91% is below the maximum required of 48%, therefore, it
complies.
o On the 2nd level, a glazed surface of 14.21% is below the maximum required of 48%, therefore, it
complies.

 For the eastern orientation it is established that:

o on 1st level a glazed surface of 0% below the maximum required of 60%, therefore, it complies.
o On the 2nd level, a glazed surface of 7.01% is below the maximum required of 60%, therefore, it
complies.

 For the North orientation it is established that:

o on 1st level a glazed surface of 0% below the maximum required of 60%, therefore, it complies.
o On the 2nd level, a glazed surface of 6.58% is below the maximum required of 60%, therefore, it
complies.

Solar gains are met through the window openings, which represent 11.96% of the envelope surface.
