1 .Convert into sexagesimal measurements

58g. They ask us to convert 58 centesimal degrees
(g/c) to sexagesimal degrees (°).

In order to solve we will use the following

conversion factor: 1 g = 0.9°

A) 50⁰ 20’
B) 51⁰ 30’ This is true since 90° is equivalent to 100 g
C) 52⁰ 12’
D) 53⁰ 10’ Then, by a rule of
E) 54⁰ 45

three, we have: 1 g 0.9° 58g xx =58·0.9°

x=52.2°

3.If you have a square ABCD, where M is the midpoint of the side
BC, find the tgO.

AB = BC = CD = AD
Since it is a square, the lengths of the sides or edges are identical.
It is known that Point M is located in the middle of segment BC, so
segment MC is half of side BC.
MC = BC/2
The tangent function of the angle (Θ) which in this case is denoted:
Tg Θ = Opposite Leg (CO)/Adjacent Leg (CA)
For the angle (Θ) the magnitudes of the legs are:
Opposite Leg (CO) = MC
A) 0.2 Adjacent Leg (CA) = CD
But CD = BC
B) Tg Θ = MC/BC
But MC = BC/2
C) 0.4 Tg Θ = BC/2 ÷ BC
0)0.5 Tg Θ = BC/2BC = 1/2
TgΘ = 1/2 = 0.5
E) 1
4.ABCD is a rectangle whose sides measure 60 mm and 40 mm, find the
value of:
E = tga + tgO + tgo + tgo
Data:
Length = 60mm
Width= 40mm
Explanation:
1.
With the length and width values, the missing dimensions of the figure are completed.
2.
You work by triangle:
Triangle 1: Base = 40 mm
Height= 20mm
∡= α
Triangle 2: Base = 10 mm
Height= 40mm
A) 7 ∡= θ
B) 7.5 Triangle 3 : Base= 20 mm
Height= 40mm
C) 8 ∡= Ф
D) 8.5 Triangle 4: Base = 10 mm
Height= 20mm
E) 9 ∡= ω
2. The tangent of each angle of each triangle is found , considering that tan ∡ = opposite
leg/adjacent leg.
In this case, the opposite leg is the height and the adjacent leg is the base , so, so
∡ =height/base
Triangle 1: tan α= 20 mm/40mm= 1/2
Triangle 2: tan θ= 40 mm/10 mm= 4
Triangle 3: tan Ф= 40 mm/20mm= 2
Triangle 4: tan ω= 20 mm/10 mm= 2
3. Solve E= tan α+tanθ+ tanФ+tanω
E= tan α+tanθ+ tanФ+tanω
E= 1/2+4+2+2
E=17/2
E=8.5
5. Give the equivalent of: θ = π/4 rad + 18 in the
centesimal system

A) 50g
B) 60g
C) 70g
D) 75g
E) 80g
6. CALCULATE.K=7π/90 rad + 40 centesimal degrees about/
10°.

A) 1
B) 2
C) 3
D) 4
E) 5
7.In a right triangle, the perimeter is
90 cm and the cosine of one of the acute angles is 12/13. Find
the length of its hypotenuse.
It is known that: cos alpha = CA/H
If cos \alpha = 12/13 then CA= 12 ; H =
13
Then CO is found:
CO^2 = 13^2 - 12^2
A) 30 CO^2 = 169 - 14
B) 33 CO^2 = 25
C) 36
CO = 5
D) 39
E) 40 Then the sides of the triangle will be:
5k + 12k + 13k = 90
30k= 90
k= 3
Therefore the hypotenuse is:
H = 13k
H = 13(3)
H=39cm

that a worker must travel to raise and lower a forklift
up and down a ramp. If we know that the base
measures 30 m and has an inclination of 16⁰ on the
way up and 37⁰ on the way down. (apply law of sines;
sin127⁰=0.798)

A) 30.50 m 30

13.In the truck shown in the figure, AB = 3m and AC =
2.7m. If to unload the truck there must be an inclination
of 52⁰, what must be the distance from B to C to obtain
this inclination? (Apply law of cosines; cos52⁰=0.616),
calculate to the nearest tenth.
Cosine theorem:
We know two sides and one angle, we do not
know if it is a right triangle or not, so: BC² =
AB² +AC²-2AB*AC*cosα α=52°
AB = 3m
AC= 2.7 m
What should be the distance of BC to obtain
the inclination?
BC = √(3m)²+(2.7m)²-2(3m)(2.7m)*0.616
A) 2.4m BC =√9m² +7.29m² - 9.98 m²
B) 2.5m BC = √6.31
C) 2.6m BC = 2.51 meters
D) 2.7m
E) 2.8m
