Indarapatra at Sulayman (English Version)

Once upon a time in the Western part of Mindanao is located the Kingdom of Mantapuli. It
was ruled by a brave and powerful king Indarapatra.

The king first learned of the mayhem occurring outside his territory one day. He flung his
magical kris (Juru Kapal) in the direction of Matuntun Mountain. As soon as he arrived
home, Juru Kapal reported to Indarapatra.

The people of Maguindanao are plagued by monsters who bring havoc and fear in the
plains there. The monster menace was swiftly suppressed and Brother Sulayman was
given orders to do so.

Indarapatra sowed a magical plant before Sulayman went away. This will serve as a
warning on the brother's health during the fight. Sulayman would likewise perish if the
plant perished.

Sulayman journeyed with his vinta, and his first stop was the Wisdom Mountain. He
discovered Kurita, the man-eating monster with five legs. After a protracted and deadly
struggle, Sulayman finally stabbed Kurita with a “Kris”.

The next thing Sulayman saw was the human-like monster “Tarabusaw”. He asked him to
leave Maguindanao and stop threatening people. Tarabusaw did not listen, instead it fought
him and eventually died.

In order to locate more of the surviving creatures, Sulayman continued his expedition.
When he arrived at Mount Bita, he noticed numerous skeletons and decaying human
remains. The area suddenly became darker, and the vengeful bird “Pah” emerged. Quickly
drawing his blade, Sulayman covers the monster's enormous wing.

Sulayman was victorious, but unfortunately the wing from the avenger Pah ran into his
body causing his death.

From the kingdom of Mantapuli, Indarapatra immediately saw the drying of the magical
plant. Because of this, he immediately searched for his brother, and on the mountain of
Bita he found Sulayman's body.

He hugged his lifeless brother and wept. He prayed and begged God to restore Sulayman's
life, and the sky listened to him. From not far away there was a gushing of water.

He immediately made Sulayman drink it. His brother came back to life and out of fear he
was ordered to return to the kingdom and he alone would search for the remaining
monster.

Indarapatra reached the Mountain of Guryan, where he met Balbal. Indarapatra cut off
the monster's seven heads one by one until only one remained. The monster escaped and
he was unable to kill it completely.

There was silence in Magindawan, the heroism done by Indarapatra spread, because of this
the raha married his princess daughter to Indarapatra as a gift.
