IFI NOTES:

1. ASME 818.11 (R 2000) is a standard developed through the proce-

dures of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers. 818.11 is
under the jurisdiction of ASME Standards Committee 818.

2. The latest edition of 818.11 was published in 1961. Since that time
the standard has been reviewed, reaffirmed and reissued, without
technical change, in 1975, again in 1983, 1992 and 2000.

3. Screw threads for miniature screws are covered in ASME S1.10M.

This standard is not included in this book. Copies of ASME S1.10M
are available from The American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

4. The following reprint of 818.11 (R 2000) has been modestly edited.

None of the editorial changes affects technical content in any way.

5. ASME 818.11·1961 (R 2000) is reprinted with the permission of its

publisher, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Three
Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016-5990, U.S.A.
