Introduction
 As we all know, church growth is warfare – Luk. 11:21-22 When a strong man armed
keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon
him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and
divideth his spoils.(KJV)
 But nothing wins the war against the powers of darkness like light – Isa. 60:1-3
Isaiah 60:1-3
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold,
the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise
upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light,
and kings to the brightness of thy rising.(KJV)

John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.(KJV)
 More often than not, until the God of vengeance shows up, the enemy never gives up
– Exo. 4:20-23

And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the
land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand. And the LORD said unto Moses,
When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh,

Engaging the God of Vengeance for Supernatural Church Growth
 Church growth is warfare, and it is a battle against the gates of hell – Mat. 16:18 And I say
also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates
of hell shall not prevail against it.(KJV)/
Luk. 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:(KJV)
 Until God unleashed His vengeance upon Egypt, Pharaoh never gave up on the Children of
Israel – Exo. 11:1-7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague [more] upon
Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let [you] go,
he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. Speak now in the ears of the people, and
let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver,
and jewels of gold. And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians.
Moreover the man Moses [was] very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's
servants, and in the sight of the people. And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About
 midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall
die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of
the maidservant that [is] behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. And there shall be
a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like
it any more. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue,
against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between
the Egyptians and Israel.(KJV) /
Exo. 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will
execute judgment: I [am] the LORD.(KJV) /29-33
And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt,
from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that
[was] in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he,
and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for [there
was] not a house where [there was] not one dead. And he called for Moses and Aaron by
night, and said, Rise up, [and] get you forth from among my people, both ye and the
children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. Also take your flocks and your
herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. And the Egyptians were urgent
upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We [be]
all dead [men].(KJV)

Exodus 12:41-42
And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day
it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. It [is] a
night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt:
this [is] that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their
generations.(KJV)

 We must put up a fight of faith to see God’s purpose for explosive growth of the endtime
Church come to pass – Mal. 4:1-2 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven;
and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh
shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor
branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing
in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.(KJV)

1 Tim. 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also

Engaging the God of Vengeance for Supernatural Church Growth
 Church growth is warfare and Satan himself is ever out against the growth of the Church
– 2 Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe
not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine
unto them.(KJV)/
1 Thes. 2:18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but
Satan hindered us.(KJV)
 We saw how the God of vengeance stopped the pride Nebuchadnezzar – Dan. 4:5-33 I saw
a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head
troubled me. Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise [men] of Babylon before
me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream. Then came in
the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream
before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof. But at the
last Daniel came in before me, whose name [was] Belteshazzar, according to the name of
my god, and in whom [is] the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream,
[saying], O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the
holy gods [is] in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I
have seen, and the interpretation thereof. Thus [were] the visions of mine head in my bed;
I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof [was] great. The
tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight
thereof to the end of all the earth: The leaves thereof [were] fair, and the fruit thereof
much, and in it [was] meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the
fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it. I saw in the
visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from
heaven; He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake
off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls
from his branches: Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band
of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven,
and [let] his portion [be] with the beasts in the grass of the earth: Let his heart be changed
from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.
This matter [is] by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy
ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of
men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. This
dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the
interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise [men] of my kingdom are not able to
make known unto me the interpretation: but thou [art] able; for the spirit of the holy gods
[is] in thee. Then Daniel, whose name [was] Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and
his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the
interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream
[be] to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies. The tree that
thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the
sight thereof to all the earth; Whose leaves [were] fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in
it [was] meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches
the fowls of the heaven had their habitation: It [is] thou, O king, that art grown and
become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to
the end of the earth. And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down

heavens do rule. Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off
thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a
lengthening of thy tranquillity. All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. At the end of
twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. The king spake, and
said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might
of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? While the word [was] in the king's mouth,
there fell a voice from heaven, [saying], O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The
kingdom is departed from thee. And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling [shall
be] with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times
shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and
 giveth it to whomsoever he will. The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon
Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body
was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' [feathers], and his
nails like birds' [claws].(KJV)
 We must stop the mouth of unruly talkers and deceivers, who go about to draw away
believers from the Church – Tit. 1:10-11 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and
deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert
whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.(KJV) /

Phi. 3:19 Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in
their shame, who mind earthly things.)(KJV)

 Church growth is warfare, and it is a battle against principalities and powers – Eph. 6:12-13
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
[places]. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.(KJV)/16 Above all, taking the
shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.(KJV)
 God stopped the arrogant King of Assyria against the Children of Israel – 2 Kgs. 19:32-37
Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this
city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it. By
the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith
the LORD. For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant
David's sake. And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and
smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when
they arose early in the morning, behold, they [were] all dead corpses. So Sennacherib king
of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. And it came to pass, as
he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his
sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And
Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.(KJV)
 We must stop the mouth of those going about to scatter the flock of Christ in this Church
– Act. 20:29-31 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in
among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking
perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that
by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.(KJV)

Mat. 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me
scattereth abroad.(KJV)

 Church growth is warfare, and it is a battle again the strongholds of hell – 2 Cor. 4:4 In
whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the
light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Cor. 10:3-6 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the
weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of
 strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against
the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

 We saw how Peter, by the Holy Ghost, stopped the mouth of Simon alias the power of God
– Act. 8:18-20 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the
Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on
whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy
money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased
with money.(KJV)
 We must stop the mouth of all agents of the devil against scattering the flock – Isa. 8:8-10
And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach [even] to
the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.
Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of
far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall
be broken in pieces. Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word,
and it shall not stand: for God [is] with us.(KJV) /

Isa. 54:14-17 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from
oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Behold,
they shall surely gather together, [but] not by me: whosoever shall gather together against
thee shall fall for thy sake. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the
fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to
destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that]
shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the
servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.(KJV)

 Church growth is warfare, and it is a battle against the gods of this world, who is holding to
ransom a number of people ordained for eternal life – Mat. 13:24-25 Another parable put
he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed
good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the
wheat, and went his way.(KJV) /

Act. 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the
Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.(KJV)
 We saw how Paul stopped the mouth of Elymas the Sorcerer with blindness for his master to
believe the gospel – Act. 13:8-12 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by
interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul,
(who also [is called] Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, And said, O full of
all subtilty and all mischief, [thou] child of the devil, [thou] enemy of all righteousness, wilt
thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the
Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And
immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to
lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being
astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.(KJV)
 We must demand for the vengeance of the Lord to silence all oppositions on the path of
continuous Church growth – Psa. 94:1-4 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O
God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth:
render a reward to the proud. LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked
triumph? [How long] shall they utter [and] speak hard things? [and] all the workers of
iniquity boast themselves?(KJV)

 A great door of supernatural Church growth is opened unto the Church, but there are many
adversaries – 1 Cor. 16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and [there are]
many adversaries.(KJV) / Deut. 2:24 Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river
Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his
land: begin to possess [it], and contend with him in battle.(KJV)
 We saw how Paul handed over Hymenaeus and Alexander to the devil, so as to stop them
from further blasphemy against the truth – 1 Tim. 1:19-20 Holding faith, and a good
conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: Of whom
is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not
to blaspheme.(KJV)
 We must continue to demand for vengeance upon every agent of the devil out to scatter the
flock of Christ – Isa. 63:4 For the day of vengeance [is] in mine heart, and the year of my
redeemed is come.(KJV)
Jesus is Lord!
