Electrical Installation Instruction

1、 Unpacking Inspection
a.Check the appearance of the electrical box: remove the packaging film to see whether
the box is deformed, whether the air plug base falls off, and whether the air pressure regulating
valve on the side of the box is damaged (if damaged, it needs to be replaced and spare parts
are available);
b. Check the camera: Check whether there is damage on appearance, whether the
fastening screws are loose (if they are loose, they must be tightened according to the required
angle in the Mechanical Installation Instruction), whether the camera air plug is loose (if yes,
needs to be fastened), and whether the air pipe is loose;
c. Check the number of cables: Check the number of cables for each set of equipment
according to the list, including: Category VI network cable for camera (20 meters)* 2pcs ,
four-core cable for camera power supply (20 meters) * 2pcs, three-core cable for air
compressor power supply (20 meters) * 1pc, external interlocking 2-core cable (20 meters) *
1pc, signal output 2-core cable (20 meters) *1pc, external incoming power three-core cable (20
meters) *1pc, air pipe (transparent, blue) *2pcs, in which the camera network cable, camera
power supply, and air pipe have been connected to the camera through the frame;
d. Check the inside of the electrical box: Open the electrical box and check whether all
components are intact. If any components are damaged, replace them; Check whether the
screws on the terminal posts of each component are loose. It is recommended to tighten the
screws of each component again to prevent failures caused by poor cable contact.
2、Electrical Wiring
a. Connect cables to the electrical box in the form of aviation plug-ins for safe and quick
installation; The aviation plug-in of each cable is welded and tested in accordance with the
standard, and the label of each cable is the same as that on the base of the aviation plug-in at
the bottom of the electrical box. For onsite installation, only need to insert the aviation plug-in
according to the label, without wiring, to achieve quick installation. The specific connection
diagram is as follows:
 The incoming power supply shall be provided by Las Bambas (we provide a 20-meter cable),
and the air compressor is recommended to be less than 1.5KW (if high-power air compressor is
selected, separate power supply shall be connected). The tear alarm signal and system
operation signal shall enter Las Bambas’s belt conveyor system through dry contact (we
provide a 20-meter cable).
b. An electrical bridge should be laid between electrical box and equipment, the cable and
air pipe should be placed in the bridge to avoid damage from external environment.
3、Power-on Test
a. Check whether all the cables are connected, whether the plug-in has been tightened, and
whether external power supply and dry contact cables are connected properly. Open the
electrical box, first, use a multimeter to measure whether the power supply at the inlet end of
the air switch (as shown in the red frame of pic.1) is within the local normal voltage range. After
it is normal, close the air switch Q1. Then use a multimeter to measure whether the power
supply at the outlet end of the air switch Q1 (as shown in the blue frame of pic.1) is within the
normal voltage range. After it is normal, successively close the circuit breaker QF1, QF2, QF3.
The circuit breaker QF1 is to provide power to the air compressor. If the air compressor is
connected with an external power supply, no need to close this circuit breaker;

b. After closing all the circuit breakers, wait for one minute. After one minute, observe
whether the component indicator light, network cable indicator light, camera power indicator
light and fill light are all lit. If yes, it means the system power supply is normal (as shown in Pic.
2), the host computer will automatically boot into the Windows operating system after power-on
(as shown in Pic. 3);

4、Complete Installation
After the completion of power test, continue to run for half an hour to an hour. If there is no
problem, close the door of the electrical box and tighten it with screws to prevent the entry of
water and dust. The electrical installation is complete so far.
