You are on page 1of 2

Good morning respected HOS ma'am, teachers and my dear friends.

Today I
Arman Das and my friend Kanisk chakraborty of class 4-A are going to present a
talk on road safety.

Road safety is very important while being on the road and must know by all
because road accident is a leading cause of many deaths. Whenever you are
walking or traveling by any vehicle on the road, your safety is in your hands. You
have to be very careful of the other vehicles on the road. Your safety on the road
can only be ensured when you will abide by the traffic rules. Moreover, road safety
rules are also important for children. As the children are young, they observe their
surroundings and follow things what the elders are doing. Consequently, if we teach
them good lessons about road safety, that will inculcate responsible habits in them.
Thus, it can be very useful in the long run for preventing accidents and also secures
their future.

Now my friend kanishk will say a few ways to Improve Road Safety

There are many ways in which we can improve road safety. In order to keep ourself
safe we must always walk on the pavements meant for pedestrians.

Do not play, jump or run on roads, as you never know when a vehicle might appear.

always follow the traffic signals religiously. Even if there is no one on the road and
the signal is red, do not move until the light turns green.

when we are on foot, always cross the road at zebra crossing only.

Most importantly, always make sure to look both ways, left and right when crossing
the road.

Even if it is a one-way street, just because you are following the rules does not mean
the other person is also doing the same. So keep your safety above everything else.

Adults must not leave children alone on the road and never use your phone while
driving or walking on the road.

When in moving vehicles, always wear your seat belt. Similarly, when on a two-
wheeler, do not forget your helmet.
Finally, do not take out your head or hand in a moving vehicle.

If you notice the driver being careless, correct them. Practice road safety and
encourage children to do the same.

Always remember that your safety is in your hands.
