Ans 1: A cohort or group of people who share similar


chronological ages and were shaped by the events, trends,
and developments of a particular span of time.

Ans 2: Information communication technology (ICT) has a


significant relationship with age. Younger generations tend to
have better access to and proficiency in using ICT tools
compared to older generations, creating a digital divide.
Technological literacy also varies with age, as younger
individuals often display higher comfort and skills in using ICT.
Age influences the adoption of new technologies, with
younger people being more receptive, while older individuals
may be more cautious. Additionally, communication
preferences vary across generations, impacting how ICT is
utilized for interpersonal communication.

Ans 3: Some characteristics of the Traditionalists generation:


a). Fierce sense of loyalty, pride, frugal, averse to change or
risk-taking.
b). If you wanted to get ahead in life, you worked hard and
saved your money; school and the church taught the
difference between right and wrong, and you obeyed your
elders.
c). Radio was the most popular technology of this generation.
d). Families sat around the “wireless” radio to listen to daily
and weekly broadcasts.

Ans 4: The use of the internet among seniors has greatly


impacted their social lives. It has facilitated increased
connectivity, allowing seniors to stay connected with family
and friends regardless of distance. It has also reduced social
isolation by providing access to online communities and
support networks. The internet has expanded opportunities
for seniors to engage in virtual activities, learn new skills, and
access information, enhancing their social engagement and
overall quality of life.

Ans 5: The death of Princess Diana, the Oklahoma bombing,


the digital age, increased school violence, Y2K, 9/11, and the
U.S. War on Terror.
