5. EYES & NOSES

Using black thread, attach your small glass beads to your Kangaroo for eyes. To make the nose, use a few small stitches
across the snout in black thread. For the eyes of the Joey use a ‘French Knot’ instead of the beads because they might be
too large. Sew on the nose for the joey same as you did for the Kangaroo.

6. SEW YOUR LITTLE ECHIDNA

Pin together the two furry pieces of your Echidna with the prickly side together. Sew the top edge together. Then Turn
out the right way so the prickly side faces out. Next, attach the ‘Nose’ of your Echidna onto the belly piece using blanket
stitch.

Slip the pointy end of your furry Echidna piece under the nose layer and line up the seams of the belly and echidna’s back.
Sew with small stitches across the arch of the nose attaching the nose to the prickly layer beneath. Then begin blanket
stitching around the body, inserting the paws as you go. Before you reach the end, stuff your echidna full.

Sew on two beads for eyes and use a few small stitches with black thread to give him a small nose.

7. FINISHING OFF
Make sure all of your ends have been tucked inside the body, and everything is neat and tidy.

8. HANDY HINTS
