TOURNAMENT RULES

Here are some of the most standard rules that will apply when playing the Bad Beat Texas
Holdem Tournament:

1. Entrance Fees - The entrance Fee is Rs. 400. All entrance fees will be paid before
the play begins.

2. Seat Assignment- Your seat will randomly be assigned to you. Unlike in cash
games, there are no seat changes until your table is "broken" as players are
eliminated and the remaining players are consolidated.

3. Starting Stacks- When you arrive at the table your starting stack will be at your seat.
The starting stack will be of 10,000 worth of chips. Tournament chips have no cash
value and you cannot cash out at any point during the tournament.

4. Re-Buyins - A player can take re-buyin only till 11:59 P.M. Any re-buyin can be taken
only when you have a chip stack of less than 10,000 on a prorated price.
For eg. If you have a chip stack of 6000, you’ll get a maximum of extra 4000
chips by paying Rs. 160.
The dealer will note down your rebuy-ins and you’ll have to settle the amount before
leaving the table

5. Blind Levels - Blinds will keep on increasing every 20 mins. Small Blind will start
from 50 and then increase to 100, 200, 500, and so on, as decided by the
Tournament Director.

6. Absent Players - All players must be dealt into the hand and their blinds forced into
the pot whether they are at the table or not. If the player is not present by the time his
second card is dealt, his hand will be ruled dead.

7. Breaking Tables - As players are eliminated the tournament director will start
breaking tables in a pre-determined order. If your table breaks, you will be assigned
randomly to an empty seat at one of the remaining tables. Tables will be broken when
there are 3 or fewer players left on a table.

8. All-in confrontations - When two players are all in and the action is completed, both
hands must be exposed face up before the rest of the board is run. A player who
declares all in and loses the pot, then discovers that one or more chips were hidden,
is not entitled to benefit from this.

9. Calling the Clock - A player can request the pit boss to force a player to choose an
action in a set amount of time (typically 2 minutes). If the player fails to act in that
time, his or her hand is folded. Only a player seated at the table at the time the
current hand was dealt can call the clock.
10. Multiple Busts - If two players go broke on the same hand the player with the
greater amount of chips at the start of the hand finishes in the higher position.

11. Showing Cards - Intentionally exposing a card is illegal in tournament play (unless
the event has only two remaining players) and a hand can be ruled dead as well as a
time penalty issued.

12. Inappropriate play- Inappropriate play such as swearing and or throwing cards is
punishable by a penalty.

13. Coloring up - The lowest chip denomination in play will be removed from the table
when it is no longer needed in the blind or ante structure.

14. Deal-making - In most circumstances players are allowed to make a deal to

distribute the remaining prize money at any point. All players must be in agreement
as to the altered payouts, which are usually distributed according to each player's
remaining amount of chips

The management’s decision shall be final in cases of any disputes.
