3. Click the folder to the right of the title and select where you want to save
this file (so you can find it later).

Assigning to Students:
• Using Google Classroom
1. Log in to your Google Classroom account. Click on one of your
classes.
2. Click “Classwork” at the top. Click “Create.” Click “Assignment”
3. Title the assignment and assign a due date. Click the triangle
Google Drive icon at the bottom left. Select the assignment.
4. Select “Make a copy for each student” in the dropdown menu.
5. Click “Assign”.

• Without Google Classroom


1. Click the “Share” button at the top right.
2. Click “Get shareable link”.
3. Make sure the settings say “Anyone with the link can view”.
4. Copy the link and share the link with your students via a secure
method (somewhere they use a password to access). Please DO
NOT post this to a public website.
5. Make sure to tell students when they open the file to click “File”
and “Make a copy”.
6. When they are done, they can click the “Share” button and share
it back to you.
