Section 1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this replacement / upgrade kit is to replace the RJ45 connector on Definium AMX
700 systems with a more robust solution, and upgrade to the current design.

Section 4.0 De-Installation

1.) Remove Screw "C" using a Phillips screwdriver. See Figure 1.
2.) Rotate the Tether Retainer away from the Tether until there is enough room to remove the
Tether. See Figure 1.

3.) Remove the Tether from the front bulkhead by pulling the Tether to the right until it is clear of
the front bulkhead.

4.) Remove the Internal Ethernet Connection from the front bulkhead by depressing the thumb clip
and gently pulling the cable out of the receptacle. See Figure 2.

5.) Remove Nut "E" using a 3/8" nut driver. See Figure 2.
6.) Remove Screw "F" Qty 2 (See Figure 1) using a 5/32" allen wrench.
7.) Remove Bolt "B" Qty 2 (See Figure 1) using a 5/16" nut driver.
8.) Remove Nut "D" Qty 2 (See Figure 2) and Screw "A" Qty 2 (See Figure 1) using a 7/32" nut
driver and a Phillips screwdriver.
9.) Once Nut "D" Qty 2 and Screw "A" Qty 2 are removed, remove the Internal USB Cable from
the Front Bulkhead. See Figure 2.
10.) Remove the old Front Bulkhead from the assembly. See Figure 3.

Section 5.0 Installation

1.) Replace the old Front Bulkhead with the new Front Bulkhead.
2.) Place the Internal USB Cable on the backside of the Front Bulkhead and align the cable with
the slots and screw holes made for the USB cable. See Figure 4.

3.) Install the Internal USB Cable by inserting Screw "A" Qty 2 (See Figure 5) into the Front
Bulkhead and through the Internal USB Cable’s screw holes.

4.) Install Nut "D" Qty 2 (See Figure 4) onto Screw "A" Qty 2 (See Figure 5) with a 7/32" nut driver.

5.) Install the Internal Ethernet Connection by sliding the end of the Internal Ethernet Connection
into the receptacle on the RJ connector housing. See Figure 4.
6.) Install Bolt "B" Qty 2 using a 5/16" nut driver. See Figure 5.
7.) Install Screw "F" Qty 2 using a 5/32" allen wrench. Make sure to first put the screws through
the cord guide then into the Front Bulkhead assembly. See Figure 5.

8.) Place the Tether Retainer Bracket on Screw "F" as shown in Figure 6.
9.) Install Nut "E" Qty 2 on Screw "F" Qty 2 using a 3/8" nut driver. See Figure 6.
10.) Slide the Tether into the slot in the Front Bulkhead. Make sure that the side of the Front
Bulkhead slides into the groove on the Tether. See Figure 7.

11.) Rotate the Tether Retainer Bracket up until it secures the Tether.

12.) Install Screw "C" (See Figure 8) into Hole "G" (See Figure 7) using a Phillips screwdriver.

Section 6.0 Functional Check

1.) Connect the system to the hospital network ethernet jack normally used.
2.) Open the Tools menu.
3.) Select Network Connections / Edit.
4.) Select any of the configured Hosts or Printers.
5.) Select C-Echo Test.
6.) If the results are successful, the upgrade is complete. If it fails, recheck your cable connectors,
and/or ensure the hospital network is functioning.
