Field Supplied Materials


• Standard Field Engineer’s toolkit.
• Torque wrench capable of applying 50 in-lbs (5.6 N-m).
• Loctite ® 271 or equivalent high strength threadlocker.

This kit includes the following parts.

Personnel Requirements
Two service engineers for 0.5 hours of labor.

Procedure
1.) Remove monitor from monitor yoke.
2.) Refer to Figure 1. Remove button plug from the bottom of the monitor yoke.
3.) Remove and discard the setscrew and center screw.

Note: Removing the center screw detaches the yoke from the upper pivot. Make sure the yoke is
supported while removing the center screw.

4.) Install nylon washer onto new center screw (provided).


5.) Thoroughly coat the threads of the new center screw (provided) with Loctite ® 271 or
equivalent threadlocker (approximately 10 drops), make sure that none of the threadlocking
agent comes in contact with the nylon washer.
6.) Install the center screw with threadlocking agent though the monitor yoke and into the upper
pivot.
7.) Tighten center screw to obtain a clearance of 0.05±0.02 in. between the upper pivot and
monitor yoke.
8.) Apply Loctite ® 271 or equivalent threadlocker onto the threads of the hole where the setscrew
will be installed.
9.) Thoroughly coat the threads of the setscrew (provided) with Loctite ® 271 or equivalent
threadlocker (approximately 3 drops).
10.) Install setscrew and tighten to a torque of 50 in-lbs (5.6 N-m).
11.) Install button plug removed in step 2.
12.) Re-install monitor onto monitor yoke.
13.) Restore power to the system and perform a functional check of the system. Verify that an
image appears on the monitor during a fluoro exam.
