Football.
Magyarul: labdarúgás. Játsszák huszonketten, végkimerülésig,
bandázs nélkül. A játékban labda is szerepel, amelyet azonban nem kell
komolyan venni; ez csak afféle szimbolum, mely a főcél: a hasbarúgás
ürügyéül szolgál. Kézzel nem szabad játszani; úgy fejbe, mint gyomorba,
hátba, nyakcsigolyába, fogba, orrlikba, torokba és belekbe csak lábbal
szabad belerugni. A játék »gól«-okra megy: ez úgy történik, hogy a
kapus keresztbefekszik a háló előtt, mire a csatárok addig rugják a hasát,
míg átlukad; ezen a lukon keresztül a labdát begyömöszölik a hálóba. A
legújabb szabályok szerint, a labda elgurulása vagy kiugrása esetén egy
kéznél lévő kirúgott szemgolyóval is folytatni lehet a játékot.
Vízisportok.
1. Úszás. Két vagy több ember egyszerre belekapaszkodik egy nagy
darab vízbe és addig huzódzkodnak benne, míg a végire nem értek. E
műveletnél erősen rugdalni kell kézzel és lábbal. Akinek sikerül a
többieket úgy összerugdalni, hogy alámerülnek, elsőnek jön be és
felveszi a »világbajnoki« címet.
2. Búvárúszás. Két vagy több ember lehúzza a fejét a víz alá és addig
tartja ott, míg a többiek már nem bírják ki. Kezdőket figyelmeztetünk,
hogy ily állapotban a lélegzés kissé meg van nehezítve. Elsőnek jön be,
aki utolsónak marad. Leghelyesebb egy perccel tovább maradni lent,
mint ameddig az ember kibírja, – azután már a legnagyobb könnyűséggel
napokig folytathatja az ember a versenyt, anélkül, hogy egyszer is
kidugná a fejét. És Kankovsky Arthurt is lepipálhatja.
3. Műugrás. Az ember elmegy egy mozgófényképvállalathoz és ezer
forintot kér azzal, hogy ő beugrik egy hídról a Dunába. Ha a vállalat
beugrik, az ember elmegy a Dunához, közepéig uszik, kiszáll,
lefényképezteti magát, bemegy a vízbe és kint van a vízből.
Atlétika.
1. Birkózás. Végezhetik professzionisták és amatőrök. Előbbi
módszer sokkal nehezebb. Nagy edzettséget, izomerőt, bátorságot és
lélekjelenlétet, férfias nyugalmat és hidegvért igényel, hogy az ember
véletlenül földhöz ne vágja ellenfelét – ha úgy van fizetve, hogy az vágja
földhöz őt. Az amatőrbirkózás már sokkal egyszerűbb. Két ember addig
nyomja, gyömöszöli, tördeli és furdalja egymást, míg nem marad más,
mint csak két váll, ezt aztán hozzányomják a földhöz.
2. Távfutás. Szükséges hozzá egy kassza és két rendőr. A kasszát a
sportsman viszi magával, a két rendőr megfelelő távolságban követi.
3. Magasugrás. E pontnál az ember belerúg a földbe, mire a föld
visszarúg és feldobja az embert. Most így megy fölfelé az ember, míg
egy spanyolnádig nem ér, ezt átlépi és a másik oldalon megint lefelé
megy. Felülről kikeres valami lágy helyet, pl. a pályabíró fejét és arra
ereszkedik le, hogy meg ne üsse magát.
