Cut yarn leaving a tail thread 50 cm long.

Forming the Pumpkin Shape

With a yarn needle thread the yarn through the final 6
stitches and pull together.
To create the pumpkin shape, take the needle down
through the centre of the final 6 stitches and out of the
bottom through the magic loop hole, pull tight. Take
yarn up to top and back down the centre until you have
created 6 segments in total.
To finish, tie a final knot at the base and darn end in.

Making the Stem

Magic ring, 5dc into the ring, dc into first stitch, then, dc into each stitch spiralling round
until your stem is the height you want it to be.
Fasten off, leaving a tail thread long enough to sew your stem into place at the top of
the pumpkin.

Making the Tendril

Chain 30, work the following stitches into the back loop of each chain throughout:
dc into the second chain from the hook, 2dc into each stitch to end of the row.
Fasten off leaving a tail end long enough for sewing into place.
Tendril should curl up automatically.
Darn in end and sew the tendril to the pumpkin, next to the stem.
