    TRIUMPH: THE ROAD TO SUCCESS

    Today marks our last webinar and our topic is all about success. The organizers invited

    the President of Central Philippine University, Dr. Teodoro C. Robles. He does not have any

    PowerPoint presentation, instead, he shared to us his story of success. Dr. Robles' areas of

    expertise include research, technology, and education. He worked as research engineer, and

    engineering faculty member at Central Philippine University, Montana State University,

    Tennessee Technological University, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, Purdue University

    School of Engineering & Technology, and Milwaukee School of Engineering. Accorsing to him,

    success entails much more than money, power, or fame. Success in any career or aspect of life

    requires a combination of serious hard work and a little bit of opportunity. To be successful, one

    must never quit up until life's goal of happiness and contentment is fully realized.

    I agree with the speaker. What I really like about what he said is that, “sometimes we fail,

    sometimes we succeed. Failure should not be a discouragement, but rather will inspire us to do

    better.” During the open-forum discussion, he said that our relationship with the Lord is very

    important. It is also necessary that we always want to learn and we are open to new ideas. Also,

    we should always remember not to limit ourselves. He gave an advice to accountancy students

    that we should just aim first of being a CPA and take one step at a time. With that, I am being

    motivated to continue to pursue my goal which is to become a successful CPA.

    As a conclusion, the webinar is very relevant and inspiring. It motivates us to be eager to

    become successful too. I commend the group for a smooth program. I also like that one of their

    members prepared an intermission number. Overall, the webinar went well and successful.
