B. Objectives

After this activity, you should be able to:

1. explain how physical characteristics can be used to infer relatedness among
organisms in terms of genetic information; and,
2. explain how inheritance results to variation.

C. Procedure
1. For this activity, you will need clear and whole-body pictures of both your mother
and your father in your family’s photo album. The pictures should be when they
were of the same age as you are now. You also need a whole-body picture of yourself.
2. Examine closely the physical characteristics of your mother, father, and yourself.
List them down and note which of their physical characteristics are more like that
of yours.
3. Make a table of summary for your observations. Use check (/) to denote from whom
your characteristic is more similar. Examples of characteristics are already provided,
please add more.
