GRAVE - Build a Shinto shrine somewhere in the graveyard

- Fight or help the Last Warrior on his imaginary last battlefield
of the last convincing him the battle is over and he can rest

WARRIOR
"Grave of the Last Warrior" is written with Yokai Hunters Society in
mind but can be adapted to any ruleset. It's a short scenario perfect for
an introduction, a start or just a location. Use it as you see fit.
The adversaries level is used with YHS. With any other system, use it as a guide.
Japan, Meiji era. The Hunters (PCs) hear rumours, get sent, or just come across the
graveyard where the Last Warrior is buried. It's haunted by ghosts, spirits and
mischievous Yokai's all connected to the restless spirit of the Last Warrior.
Graveyard
It's old and worn. Moss covered stones, overgrown pathways, long
grass, unkept bushes. It's always cold, a light fog covers the ground,
and the sun never seems to warm the place. It's tranquil and peaceful
yet foreboding.
- Make a deal with Datsue-ba to come and collect the spirit of the Last
Warrior
Let the old Groundskeeper help or guide when needed unless they
make him an enemy.
The Twisted Nekomata will try to keep the spirit of the Last Warrior
at the graveyard since they thrive on chaos.
Datsue-ba guards the bridge over Sanzu from the living. She is always
interested in new souls and will help collect them for the right price.
Old Groundskeeper
Devine being, Level: 4, Abilities: Vanish
A wrinkled old man in worn plain brown clothes wanders the
pathways. He wears a straw hat (Kasa) and has a small scythe (Kama)
tucked in his belt. He appears and disappears out of nowhere. He can
tell stories of the graveyard, the Last Warrior and Sanzu (but he will
not show it). He knows a lot more than he lets on. Who is he?

Torii Gate Twisted Nekomata

A Torii decorates the entrance to the graveyard. Once there was a
Shinto shrine here, but it's long gone. A handpainted sign is Yokai, Level: 1, Abilities: Sneak,
nailed to the arch, "Honor the past, live in the Ambush, Necromancy (raising
present." the dead)

Grave of the Last Warrior
