1 Introduction

Leakage test of the shut off valve MBP60AA005 shall be performed at depressurized
system at scheduled inspection no more than once a year. The purpose of the leakage test
is to ensure the tightness of the shut off valve.

This instruction refers to the ignition gas system.

2 Test Procedure

Leakage test of MBP60AA005

Test sequence:
1. Make sure that the GT is not in operation.
2. Make sure that the GT enclosure ventilation is in operation.
3. Make sure that the gas system is depressurized, for example.
 The gas trapped between MBP10AA010 and MBP60AA005 is ventilated
via MBP10AA210, and the gas trapped between MBP60AA005 and
MBP60AA015 and MBP55AA035 is ventilated via MBP60AA205.
4. Visually inspect the pressure indicator read, zero at the manometer:
 MBP60CP005 (MBP10AA010 must be closed) the pressure must be

5. Initiate GT start. Abort start when 15 s remaining of purge time, see Figure 2. Do
not use the emergency stop. Before entering the enclosure, manually block the
CO2-equipment to prevent CO2 release while working in the enclosure. (See
relevant Operating Safety document.) Read the manometer
 MBP60CP005
During reading there should be gas trapped between
 MBP10AA010, MBP10AA015 and MBP60AA005, The pressure
transmitter MBP10CP005 should indicate typical main gas pressure.
6. Reject criteria:
The pressure is 12 bar(g) or above. Replace the valve and perform the leakage test
again.
7. Accept criteria:
The pressure is below 12 bar(g)
 MBP60AA005 can be considered as leak-tight.
