to emphasize the character’s silhouette. I use water color
shapes pairing with simple lines to create a sense of depth.

Graphic element
I wanted to use simple and easy to interpret
drawings and doodles for the graphic elements.
The doodles are spaced out evenly but has
a certain chaotic feel into it. They are the
characters in the book in various poses and
expressions and also some props to fill in the
gap. The goal of these doodles are to make
the audience feels familiar with it, makes them
remember the doodles they made during class
or when they are bored.

Typography
For the typography I decided to use cartoony and hand writting
like fonts to emphasize the authenticity of the doodle and hand
drawing theme. For the majority of the comic I used DK Lemon
Sun for the dialogues and text and for the book cover I used DK
Display Patrol and Candy Beans for impact.

Evaluation
This is my most anticipated and longest project ever since I enroll to Greenwich university. This
project is where my hand drawing skills and design skills are put to the test. The only problem I
encountered during the design process is to come up with contents and experiences from various
people and the process of filtering out ideas was very exhausting. With my instructor’s guidance
and direction along with criticism from my peers I managed to persevere through.
The final product in my opinion could’ve been better. Some parts are lacking severity and some
maybe misleading. If I was given more time I could polish and reconsider more, but overall the
book has achieved its intended goal and purposes. Through this project I’ve learned many things
about comic layout, comic writting and overall how to relate to the audiences. I hope in the future
I can participate in more projects like this!
