Although, Pakistan is facing a great number of challenges to digitize. It has made a good progress in the
digital world Recently. If the Country’s leaders make the right policies, then nothing can hamper
Pakistan from growing economically, socially and politically by digital transformation.
Introduction:
As Douglas engelbort said, “Digital revolution is far more significant than the invention of writing or even
of printing.” We have seen different revolutions beginning from political revolution then agricultural
revolution to industrial revolution all have their causes and their consequence. Nevertheless, Now rises
of digital has huge influence over global economy and global world order. Pakistan has been slow in
adopting policies to revolutionize due to its political compulsion and their vested interests. It has made
some progress, but it is negligible in the sense of global digital economy which has size of 3.18 trillion.
Despite, it has shown good potential in adapting that can be seen in I.t sector growth to 2billion dollar
per year, converting paper economy into digital in some public sector, which has also significantly
reduced the chances of corruption, public awareness on social media of national or international issue,
and ocean of information is made public through internet. Yet, it must make policies that benefit the
masses which can contribute to growth in economic, political and social paradigms.
