Basically, the term degree means comparison between adjectives and adverbs.
There are three types of degree.
1. Positive degree – basically it indicates the simple meaning or quality of
adjectives or adverbs without comparison with anyone or anything.
Ex: Himel is a good boy.
2. Comparative degree: comparison between the two.
Ex: Rana is taller than Rahim.
3. Superlative degree: comparison among three or more than three.
Ex: The Padma is the biggest river in our country.
If the word contains 1/2 syllable than we can transform the form in this way
:
1/2 syllable word + er = comparative sentence
1/2 syllable word+ est = superlative sentence
